I haven't been able to place much in the preseason, due to Finals and such, but I'll definitely test out the new items ASAP!
I am really hyped to try the Righteous Glory build, for the reasons you said :D

The problem is that I'm not sure where to incorporate it into the build, because the chalice build means that you're basically giving up your Ravenous Hydra unless you want it strongly delayed, which usually isn't worth it. Of course, if the allied team has a lot of damage sources, then perhaps it would be a go-to choice.

Give me some time to test it out for myself, I like the thinking behind what you said though!

Hey, have you considered the new item that builds off Catalyst(Righteous Glory)? Building Catalyst against some champs that would just melt your face, like Darius, would make for a smoother and cheaper laning phase and you can always upgrade it later. The active of Glory is amazing, as it works like shurelia and omen if u are engaging, and it gives you a nice MS boost that makes landing your EQ easier.

Have you tried any of the other new items? I didnt really see a reason for raptor cloak, untill a nasus was running at light speed by my turret or kiting me inside his turret's range, so I figured I should try and see when I could use it ^^.

It works: it definitely works. The problem with it is that sheen only builds into Tri-force, which you shouldn't really ever buy as jarvan unless you are up like 5 kills on everybody else.

Jax isn't too hard for Jarvan anymore, and that was really the only case where it would be a go-to possibility. Jarvan can destroy Jax in lane now with the normal hydra rush into tank.

How did the 2 dorans and sheen test work out?

And yes, the irelia matchup is really bad.

Some of my tips: Try to win lane early. level 2-3 cheese is probably your only chance to win lane.
Otherwise, try to keep trades really really quick. Extended trades go into her favor, while because of your passive and skillset, the shorter the trade the better it is in your favor.

Doran's Blade does have lifesteal now (and has for a while).

Yea its definitely extremely situational, like when you have an amumu/rammus or some other full tank in the jungle and a tanky support, you can afford to do 2 dmg items 3 defence ones. Its just that BT seems super strong once you have like 200 armour and 200ish MR cuz you do crazy dmg and have like a giant's belt on top of it.

I think I can try that, although I'm not sure... the HP shield from BT is nice, certainly, but jarvan is by no means an assasin, so hydra + bt is a little meh. You really need to be tanky to the max on jarvan for full potential. I think ill check it out but I don't think the lack of armor/mr would be worth it. Maybe if you are snowballing, it could be an option. I'll check it out.

Hey, I've got another suggestion for you- Hydra+BT. Honestly, this combo is great, you get +155 AD, 27% LS which helps you get that 440 HP shield after 1 jungle camp. I haven't had the chance to get all 6 items in a while, but I do believe that with some defences(maybe omen/FH and def Spirit) you become quite the dmg beast and still be very tanky.
As far as how to get it, I think Hydra 1st and BT at some point,depending on what ur doing(maybe 4th after 2 defence items if grouping or exactly after hydra for splitpushing. With J4's E you take down turrets VERY fast)
Let me know how it works for you, cuz I'm still only gold and this may not work as good in higher ELOs(I dont see why not tbh, BT is OP for a tank now)
