I put Sidonia no Kishi on halt for now, cause I forgot on which episode I was and to marathon the remaining ones aswell.

The style is actually quite fitting for the rest of the story, I also look forward to reading the manga when I finished the anime, since the anime was already good (if you can overlook the style, which some people might rate as positive).

MAL's regulars on Episode 5 of Sidonia no Kishi

By the way did any of you guys take some time to appreciate the soundtrack and sound quality in general? That's some mad production value right there, especially the propulsor scenes. Feels like a supersonic jet.

I'm loving Sidonia so far.

I just finished watching Sidonia no Kishi.

Generally speaking, I am not a manga guy and I only bother myself reading the ones whose anime adaptation is at least an 8/10 in my book.

First it was Shingeki no Kyojin, now Sidonia no Kishi joins the party.

This time I'm gonna read it from Chapter 1 and not pick off from where the anime was left at like I did with Shingeki.

Sidonia deserves all the praise it gets from my point of view, and I'm seriously wondering why the hype wasn't as big as the other recent blockbusters's hype :/ I guess the art being kinda cartoonish yet good didn't help :/

Other than that, I don't think I have the right words in mind right now to explain why it is worth watching it. However, I'm fairly sure of what I'm going to say right now: Give Sidonia a chance. Don't turn it down before trying it because of mecha presets, unconventional art or because of many logical reasons as to why would one drop an anime.

And if you really can't stand the anime, please try the manga. This is coming from someone who isn't really into manga so that's telling you something. Just give Sidonia a shot.

Glad to see somebody finally got through it, and agrees with my thoughts on it.
I only know of one instance where the anime differs from the manga, but there are probably more. It happens before the big twist (episode 6-8 or something?). The manga has a piece of foreshadowing that I thought was pretty clever, while the anime apparently removed that completely.
I reeeally like the way the manga tells the story. It doesn't really explain much through dialogue and leaves a lot of interpretation to the reader. It also has plenty of time-skips to keep it from getting dull. It's thoroughly unique.
The moment a religious person unknowingly calls his own ways stupid: "And lol. I highly doubt you have magic powers. If you proved it I would believe you, but since you 'refuse to', I choose not to."

That is some pretty convincing feedback on Sidonia :D!

Ima just post my impression on some manga chapters and anime episodes (actually just one) here:
Let's start with Girls of the Wild:
Finally, there is some actually developement and tho this is a webtoon with a harem, the harem pretty much just shattered n ****. Idk if anyone else is following these series, but the 100+ chapters I've been following (and I don't know why) finally pay off for some developement lol...

Akame ga Kill:
Well, this one also shows some developement and stuff, but the series are still not working on the themes they set up zzzz
Akame ga Kill - Anime :
Episode 3 was pretty boring, the pacing is HORRIBLE. The series are only going to have 24 episodes, so why take Mein into the spotlight like that? They are not planning to try and squeeze 55 chapters into 24 episodes (I hope), so there is no point in making Mein important :/.

Arachnid:
Idk why I am still reading this. This is actually pretty bad LOL.
So if anyone wants to read a shounen with a girl as MC, go ahead. But don't expect much from the story.

Inari, Konkon, Koi, Iroha:
Well, when I started this, I thought it was a Shoujo. It was a bit later when I realized this was more interesting and less cringeworthy than 99% of the shoujos. So I kept reading it.
Then the animeadaption came out and it was labeled as seinen, which was why I checked the manga again only to see that it was also labeled as seinen.
The new chaptes are quite promising and bittersweet to read, but at the same time also pretty predictable. Let's just see what happens.
Funny thing tho, is that the majority of reads are not interested in the main girl's relationship with her boyfriend, but rather in the story between her brother and the goddess, from whom she got her powers lol.

tldr:
Err, I actually just wrote this to get used to my new keyboard. So you can ignore everything :DDD

Free! seems good if we ignore the random speedo camera angles.
Liking the soundtracks a lot but can't say anything else atm.

Expecting great things however.

If I am being honest, Free has alot of entertainment to offer. Kyoto Animatoin never fails to make Slice of Life stories kinda interesting.

If we forget that the series ar filled with Bishoujos that are in a reverse harem with the oblivious girl, then everything is fine.

Also there is Yui from K-On ninjaing around as the teacher!!! /kappa.

Today I asked myself again why I am still reading Prison School.
The series was at first just strange and extreme, turned into slapstick that would easily fit into a 4-koma styled comedy...lol

God. I'm trying to watch episode 4 of tokyo ghoul but I keep replaying the opening 8|

EDIT: My review on episode 4 of tokyo ghoul: ****ed up in more ways than one and definitely not in the good way.

Overall rating of the show dropped to 7/10 for now.

Could you evaluate your opinion on TG episode 4?
I am not watching the anime so I can't really understand why it would go in ****ed up ways in a bad way :/

Soredomo Boku Wa Kimi Ga Suki Chapter 3:
Well ok this one kinda hit harder than I expected, but from the gist I got of the overall story, this will be similar to Amagmi SS and won't really have a string of plot until the very end where everything connects.

But at least, this MC gets a girlfriend, he just gets ****blocked everytime something is about to happen (and I don't mean ****blocked as being interrupted by a random passerby).

That's what I get from the comments lol

eh sure gonna put it in spoilers tho

tokyo ghoul ****ed up 8D

Basically, I'm disappointed. I didn't expect this show to fall back on a stereotypical character trope that is completely unfitting of the setting they set up in the first few episodes...

Well, at least the MC isn't a complete defenseless wimp :c
