Thoughts on Sion rework?

Been watching Nightblue this morning and he was playing him a lot. If they don't nerf him could be game breaking. If you land a full combo with him he can stun/knockup/lockdown someone for ~4 seconds. You don't build any damage but he still has damage. His ganks will be VERY hard to avoid unless you have a great escape and they are all lane ganks so wards won't help.

I'm sure they will nerf him before launch but if you have a PBE account I would say enjoy his OPness while you can :)

HE HAS RISEN!

Welcome back from thee slumber ancient one.

(I think Sions rework is awesome btw. Q and R changes seem badass)

Unless they changed him and I didn't notice, I don't think he'll be great. His ultimate is to hard to control, his w gets popped far to easily, his q is basically useless as a CC unless you already have a ton of it applied and his damage went down a lot.

i do think he'll see the most success as a jungler but i don't think he'll be that great honestly

I haven't tried him since I don't have pbe acvount but from just looking at his abilities he seems amazing. I might change my opinion though after I've tried how his ult feels and how hard an E+Q combo is to pull off.

The new Sion feels like you need to build a team that supports what he brings to the table. I don't see him being too viable outside of the jungle role. Other than his ultimate, he's more of a follow up champion. And his ultimate actually pretty hard to steer.

New Sion is definitely improvement over old Sion, but he still looks clunky.

I don't know what does riot think, nowadays, only champions with many gapclosers are played and huge mobility and then they implement ability that channels for 3-4 seconds on champion without single gap closer.

His ult should hopefully get some improvements, it seems so hard and unrewarding to use.

New Sion feels way too clunky. Especially his Q and R. On top of those, the armor reduction on his E only lasts 2 seconds, so it doesn't even sync up well with his Q. I will say that the E is a lot of fun though, shame it's a one point wonder being AP scaling.

Feels pretty solid for a fighter. Feels terrible as a full tank. Build a Last Whisper to get the most out of his ult base damage and passive. Roar of the Slayer is good for setting up Decimating Smash but otherwise the armor reduct is useless except for your ADC to attack within that time. Soul Furnace can get more health than Enrage could. Soul Furnace has good base damage and if you want to go AP again, do a Vel'Koz type of AP build as him for terrible scaling but great base damage, except maybe you'd want a Rod of Ages to increase shield scaling so you can pop it when it's 1 hit away from detonation. Unstoppable Onslaught is nice to use even in a teamfight without charging, as it does the full slow still. You can also use it to charge into an existing teamfight, not to initiate one, or to barge into ******s chasing your team. It instakills minions, so run through that 50 minion wave at your inhibitor and cause massive devastation. It has insane base damage, coupled with some armor pen it's going to probably deal around 800-1000 to squishies and 500-700 to tanks fully charged per say, halve these values if it's a melee range charge. As long as you charge Decimating Smash for one second, it's going to knock up so if they try to get out of the 1-2 second range, smash. You can also continously farm minion waves with Soul Furnace and a fully charged Decimating Smash. Sion is sort of interesting in the matchup against Heimerdinger. Just Roar of the Slayer his turrets into him or just push them away, and go back to farming. Really awkward.

Basically how I play LoL
