As many probably know, Blizzard is developing a MOBA-influenced FPS.

Looks more like TF2 than any MOBA. I really like the look of it though.

It's a teambased shooter like TF2. Kinda like Super Monday Night Combat I guess. Looks really cool. I could be wrong, but I believe I got a chance to try it out at PAX and it felt really nice to play it (could've been something else and I'm just ******ed, who knows).

Apparently each character has three basic abilities and one "ultra" ability. And the game itself is highly objective focused, like TF2

The game looks super smooth. I saw a trailer for one of the characters, and the animations and abilities all came out in a really smooth way. Although the trailer I saw was a bit bland, it still looks to be a very well-designed game. We'll just wait for an alpha to see how it is.

Heard about it yesterday, the trailer looks very cool. We also immediately thought about TF2, but I guess MNC(rip) is a better comparison indeed.

There are a bit too much champions to my liking, I hope they aren't planning to add even more, though I guess that would make a nice extra bit of pocket money for Blizzard.

I hope it doesn't get like Smite with shooter elements, something casual with drop-in / drop-out would be great.

I'll probably sign up for the beta soon.

It's like Forge etc.

Class based FPS/MOBA with Skills instead of Weapons (or maybe both)

I like the potential which is behind that concept: Simply Arena Rumbling and a ton of custimization in terms of skills/traits/armor/weapons/trinkets (but just wishful thinking imo).

---

After Blizz dropped "Titan" (with no real evidence that it ever existed past a theoretical state) they started to add a lot of odd-jobs in the last years, all driven by Blizz fanism...

Makes you wonder: Do they even care if those are working/becoming good(acceptable games or are they simply after the quick cash between the main titles? (HotS/HS *nudge* *nudge*)

It feels like they want to promote themselves and their platform by reining in an audience as wide as possible. But I don't get any good vibes from their late games.
Everything is just a rip-off copycat with a new shiny quirk to make it feel unique, no soul or real substance, just the same old "HI, I'M BLIZZARD! I'M FAMOUS! SEE THOSE CAHRACTERS? I MADE THEM! LOVE ME (GIVE ME MONEY)!!!"

the sad thing is if hearthstone, heroes of the storm, or not tf2 was made by ANY other company, they would flop instantly. but because blizzards name is slapped over it people flock to the games in drones.

Who cares? It doesn't make a blind bit of difference to the end users and it's better than work being wasted.

No they wouldn't. At least not Hearthstone and Overwatch. (if Overwatch turns out as good as it looks)
Hearthstone was a big disappointment when it was announced, which you probably had no idea of. But when people started playing it in the beta they realized how much fun the game was.
It's a thoroughly new take on the CCG genre and one that does a lot of things well and brings a good level of polish to the table. It would have succeeded with or without Blizzards name.

HotS is a different matter though, that game doesn't seem to really excel in any big way and probably would have flopped if not for Blizzard's name when there are giants like LoL and DotA around.

I hope they stay to below 30, or at max 40, because beyond that would just make it dumb.
Rather than focusing on quantity I hope that they focus on quality. Because that's one of LoL's biggest failings. I mean, christ, we're at 120+ now, with more coming.
