I'm thinking about making a guide. There are only like a dozen or so rules that you need to know in order to play like a diamond. I could use replays and such to go really in depth on those rules

Fell back to gold 2 thanks to bad games. Looks like my dream is dead kids. :I
Fight on! There'll be time to cry after the 11th when you see all the stuff you neglected to do :P
That's what I'll be doing at least.
********'s a pretty good fertilizer

1. Farm!
2. Map awareness.
3. Someone MIA?
4. Where is enemy jungler?
5. Where is your jungler?
6. Objectives?
7. Ward objectives and jungle paths.
8. Get a sweeper and maintain vision control.
9. Use pings to alert/communicate with allies.
10. Kill stuff like towers, players, urf, nexus etc.
The list goes on..
1. I get decent farm.
2. What's that?
3. No idea.
4. No idea.
5. No idea.
6. You mean kills?
7. Can't use what I don't have.
8. My sweepers never find wards.
9. Huh? I just kill people.
10. I do that.
"Rules that you need to know in order to play like a diamond" I do 2 out of those 10, and I still played at a diamond 1 level at one point.
Pro tip: The secret to getting diamond is being good. Not good? Get good. Can take you a year or two or three, but you'll get there eventually.
I've heard people say a bunch of stuff which are meant to be 100% necessary to get diamond, like having good map vision... *****, the enemy jungler can walk through 10 wards and I won't realize I'm being ganked until he enters my screen (and MissMaw can confirm that if anything, I'm under-exaggerating here). There's absolutely nothing specific you need to be diamond, you just need to generally be better than the people you play against. I qualify for basically nothing of all these so called diamond rules you always see floating about on Reddit. I've seen team-mates who also ignore my pings when I'm telling them my lane opponent is coming to gank them, then get ganked and die. Diamonds are still "bad", they're just subtly better in a lot of aspects than most other tiers.
Wanna get diamond? Just improve your mechanics, trading in lane, decision-making, learn when you should with-hold your gap closer until your enemy has flashed, become aware of how much damage you can do with what items when your opponent has these specific defensive items, be aware of when a play can be made, know how to execute the play properly, team-fight well, don't get caught, don't make stupid baron calls, and learn the hundreds of situations in which you can do baron.
Easy!
Silver edition
1. Just improve your mechanics = Learn how to use buttons Q,W,E,R and D,F. If you combine those you can get some cool combos with some champions.
2. trading in lane = Dodge blitz, thresh hooks don't get punched in the face.
3. decision-making = Don't go alone when all are missing and you are on the wrong side of the map.
4. become aware of how much damage you can do with what items when your opponent has these specific defensive items = calculated
5. be aware of when a play can be made = 3+4
6. know how to execute the play properly = 1
7. team-fight well = Peel for the carries and keep them alive as long as possible. Build items properly
8. don't get caught, don't make stupid baron calls = 3 + 4(1/2)
9. learn the hundreds of situations in which you can do baron. = When Katarina just did that penta
Easy!
Wards+Map awareness can take you a long way when you're (not) playing your main role.
