Introduction


Hey, I'm Kasugunai and welcome to my Yuumi guide. I've been playing League of Legends since August 2010, having peaked Challenger rank 2 in April 2018.

I have been doing individual coaching (multiple games) since 2014 and played professionally for nearly a year from September 2015 to May 2016. Earlier last year I started my path to a more serious career in League of Legends esports, having worked in the German national league (ESLM) as an analyst for 2 weeks, in the Portuguese one (DreamcupPT) as a coach for 1 month and most importantly as the Head Analyst for Beşiktaş Esports in TCL 2019 Summer.

I took a break from esports until the end of this year's spring split for personal reasons, so in the meantime I figured I could write some short guides to assist people looking for updated setups and gameplay.

Getting Started
Before anything else, I want to make it clear that my guides are highly focused on how to play the champion to its highest level so I won't go into general concepts. For that you'd need to look up an extensive general guide but even then, it might be too much to cover without a proper coaching session.

Feel free to ask me any questions in the comments, I usually reply within a day unless I'm away from home. Alternatively, in the case that I'm live, you can also tune into my stream and ask me any questions and I'll answer if I'm not in-game.

All the information in my guides comes from working with professional players or dedicated champion mains.

Bop 'n' Block (Passive)

Static Cooldown: 18 − 6 (based on level)

INNATE: Periodically, Yuumi's next basic attack against an enemy champion becomes unstoppable, gains 50 bonus range and becomes a non-projectile. This attack restores 25 − 100 (based on level) (+ 8% maximum mana) mana and grants her a 60 − 400 (based on level) (+ 30% AP) shield that lasts until it is broken.

While You and Me! attached, the shield transfers to her Anchor.

Prowling Projectile (Q)

Target Range: 1150
Speed: 1000
Cast Time: None
Cost: 90 mana
Cooldown: 13.5 / 12 / 10.5 / 9 / 7.5 / 6

ACTIVE: Yuumi fires an errant missile in the target direction that deals 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 (+ 30% AP) magic damage to the first enemy hit.

If the missile is in flight for 1 second, it deals 45 / 85 / 125 / 165 / 205 / 245 (+ 40% AP) (+ 2 / 3.2 / 4.4 / 5.6 / 6.8 / 8% of the target's current health) magic damage, and slows enemy champions struck by 20% for 1 second.

While You and Me! attached, Yuumi instead directs the trajectory of the missile using the cursor for up to 2 seconds before fizzling, during which she and the Anchor can see the effective range. This cannot be done while channeling Final Chapter.

Target Range: 700
Speed: 1200 / 1300 / 1400 / 1500 / 1600
Cast Time: None
Static Cooldown: 10 / 5 / 0 (based on level)

PASSIVE: The Anchor gains either 7.2 / 8.4 / 9.6 / 10.8 / 12 (+ 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20% bonus AD) bonus Attack Damage or 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20 (+ 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20% AP) Ability Power, based on whichever was initially higher. The percentage bonus of You and Me! also benefits of its flat bonus.

Yuumi then gains 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20 adaptive force plus 20 / 23.33 / 26.67 / 30 / 33.33 bonus Attack Damage or 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20 Ability Power, whichever is higher. Additionally, Yuumi starts with a point in You and Me! and Prowling Projectile instead has 6 ranks.

ACTIVE: After a 0.25-second channel, Yuumi dashes to the target allied champion and You and Me! attaches to them. This dash is interrupted by immobilizing effects. While attached, Yuumi follows her Anchor's movement, becomes untargetable (except from turrets and in-flight projectiles targeting her), and casts her spells from the Anchor's position. The cooldown starts ticking down upon attaching to the first Anchor. You and Me! can be recast after 0.5 seconds of the attachment.

RECAST: Yuumi can switch her Anchor at no cooldown, and will detach automatically if her Anchor dies or under certain circumstances. If recast without a valid target, Yuumi will detach from her Anchor and dash up to 250 units in the target direction, putting the ability on cooldown.

You and Me! is placed on a 5-second cooldown if Yuumi is immobilized or grounded.

Cast Time: None
Cost: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 (+ 15% maximum mana) mana
Cooldown: 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8

ACTIVE: Yuumi heals herself for 70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210 (+ 40% AP) and gains 15% (+ 10% per 100 AP) bonus movement speed and 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45% bonus attack speed for 3 seconds.

While You and Me! attached, the Anchor is affected by the ability instead.

Final Chapter (R)

Target Range: 1100
Cast Time: None
Cost: 100 mana
Cooldown: 130 / 110 / 90

ACTIVE: Yuumi and Book channel for 3.5 seconds, launching 7 waves in the target direction over the duration each dealing 60 / 80 / 100 (+ 20% AP) magic damage. Enemy champions hit take only 50% damage from subsequent waves, and when struck with three waves, they are rooted for 1.75 seconds, this can only occur once per target.
