Hi, I am Hate. I peaked challenger in season 8 and have participated in National Croatian Esports League s9. Since I play Twitch as well, that's gonna be second guide I plan to do.

We try to play aggressively whenever we can. Karthus is really strong since first minutes of the game (if you hit Q's). It would be such a waste to not use his potential. In champion select ask your support to pick something with CC and ignite. Karthus + support with CC is a crazy kill lane. All we have to do is push lane and poke enemies down. When our wave is on their tower always try to deal some free damage since enemy adc has to decide if he is giving up on creeps or being damaged by our Q's. Even tho karthus wins most 2v2 lanes we should keep in mind that most likely we won't win 2v3. Make sure to be safe while pushing. Karthus has no dash so he is really easy to gank. Spend your extra money on a Control Ward and put it in a bush before you chill under enemy tower.

After laning phase we are usually pretty ahead so all we have to do is contest objectives and play on the map. Try to help your team and make them ahead. We should avoid situations when we are only team member who means something. I know Void Staff exists but still it is not nice to play vs full MR team. Make sure to pay attention to items which are bought by enemies. It is important to adapt own build. For example when they have a lot of Magic Resist we need Void, if they heal a lot - we need Grievous Wounds, against 5 tanks we would go Demonic Embrace.

Obviously late game is a moment in the game when we are not only player who is having a full build. We are still astro strong but not so ahead as we used to be. They might actually kill us. We have to focus on dealing as much damage as we can. Sometimes it is actually better to die in the middle of fight than live and run away. We can make a huge value for team by using Zhonya's Hourglass with active Defile and ulting just after. It is a main reason why we do not go Ultimate Hunter. Without it our Zhonya's Hourglass is almost perfectly timed with Requiem. Make sure to not use ult only as a execute. It might be a game changer even when you do not kill anyone.
