Why should you play this complicated champion? is a great pick that can take over and destroy SoloQ games in the mid-late game. can outscale all supports with ease, her aoe shield, heal and speed up with literally zero CD gives your enemies cancer. And leave the enemy team in the dust so hard that they will all chat 'Support Gap.'

All in all, is a great champion on Support for soloq. In soloq, high scaling makes you overpowered in the mid to late stages of the game. Infinite shielding and healing and speeding up will destroy the enemy players mental.

Which means if you were to get stunned by 3 seconds you will now only be stunned for 1.5 seconds. Sona is very vulnerable to CC and having 51% tenancity is so much more safer especially in teamghts.

is the alternate. This item gives movement speed to all allies affected by your shields. This includes shield. Along with , movement speed buff would ever stop. Your team will be even faster than a racecar. This item is good when your teammates picked low mobility champions and needs a bit of extra movement speed to either engage or kite. Last to talk about, is a situational item on . This item is to be considered when you instantly die whenever a teamfight happens. Or if there are assassins hunting you down. This item is to delay your death and hopefully enemy will be out of position when they commit too hard for you. As I said previously, you need to be alive to provide utility to your teammates.

Laning and Teamfights

Laning & Teamfight with Sona

has poor laning powers, your objective in lane is to ONLY POKE WITH Q MAX RANGE AND GET STACKS ON YOUR PASSIVE AND GOLD. Avoid extended trades as you barely have any kill pressure early in lane. A lot of new players always tries to go for extended trades and wants to try to get a solo kill but ended up dying and giving away gold to the enemy laners. So please keep in mind your laning objectives as is a scaling champ.

In teamfights you always want to be extra cautious regarding your positioning. needs to be standing together along her backline carries and spamming her and whenever available. Save your for any assasins or potential threats to your carries. Also it is important to try use with in teamfights as it is very underrated. Your green is a 30% damage reduction debuff which acts like a mini .
