[11.5] Aphelios Guide to start and and advanced tips

By flewaf
First of All.
You have to understand something with Aphelios:
You are a mid game adc
Supports with peel are excelent with you
The first game with Aphelios is going to be hard, and confusing.
To master Aphelios is required to think like another type of game, than a champion.

Alright, now we can start.
Aphelios abilities and weapons.
You have 2 out of 5 weapons in all time. You can change between these 2 to use it's abilites and passives. Each weapon has 50 ammo, you can use 1 to AA and 10 to use a spell. Once out of ammo the weapong goes to the back of the list to be replaced with the next gun in the slot of the weapong that the ammo was used.

The guns are:

Calibrum, a long ranged weapon that gives Aphelios 100+ of range on hand.

It's active it's a long ranged skill shot that aplies a mark. Activating the mark will shoot the secondary weapon to the target up to 1800 of range. If theres a lot of marks, once it's activated one all the others will be consumed to deal aditional damaged to the activated mark.

Severum, a sustain scythe. It doesn't shoot projectile and are unstopable. It heal's you based on level.

It's active it's a burst between Severum and the off hand weapon, giving Aphelios MS.

Gravitum is a cannon that marks the players tou AA, slowing them.

Activate this weapon to root the marked entitie. This weapon doesn't have anything to do with the off hand gun.

Infernum makes your AA do a AoE damage behind the enemy you hitted. Crits will make the zone bigger. Also you do a 10% more damage on hit but the zone does reduced damage (but at lvl18 this debuff dissapears).

It's active does damage in a cone. All enemies hit a are hitted again with the off hand weapon.

Crescedum is a melee/ranged weapon. It's like a bumberang, once you throw you can't AA until it reaches back. So the more you are close to the target, the faster you can AA.
When you use an ability with Crescendum as a offhand you gain a stack of Chakram, AA with Crescendum will make the Chakram hit the target as well. You can stack up to 20, dissapears after 5 seconds of not hitting champions or big/epic monsters.

It's active creates a turret will stay stacionary for 30 secons until an enemy walks into the range and starts shooting for 4 seconds.

His ult is a long ranged skill shot that procs on hitting a champion. Depending of the main handed weapon the ult will change.
    Calibrum applies an empowered mark
    Severum heals per enemy hit
Gravitum slows for 99% for 1 second and aplies mark
Infernum marks enemies hitted, after a dhort delay every enemy hitted creates a AoE damage zone
Crescendum creates chakrams per enemy hit
Conqueror, PTA, or Lethal Tempo?

Conqueror:

This is the general rune for every type of comp you have. Although it lacks from damage early, it's a great duelist type of rune that is easy to stack with Aphelios.
Remember that this rune is God Tier with Peel Supports.

PTA:

I like to call this rune as the Laning Phase Rune. Remember that Aphelios is not that great in early, and this rune compensates this. This rune is really good with engage supports than peel, so feel confident at the time to fight.

Lethal Tempo:

This is situacional, but good in ceratain cases. This is not a laning rune but a comp counter rune against tanks. You usually take Kraken Slayer along this and a AS build.
Weapon Synergy.
Weapon Usage and Order
As you seen last chapter, there's a lot of combos that you should avoid, how? With Weapon Order and Ammo Usage.

In Laning Phase use Severum to get Gravitum / Calibrum in hand. In that way the order is Calibrum - Gravitum - Infernum - Crescendum - Severum.

When you reach Severum - Crescendum, use Severum to get Calibrum, then use Crescendum to get Gravitum. Use Calibrum, then Gravitum, then Infernum.

Now you have a perfect Weapon Orden and Combos! The order should look like this:

Now I will explain combos and Synergy:

Severum Crescendum:

This is one of the best combos. Use Q to stack chakrams, then change of weapons to AA with great DPS.

Q(Severum) > W > AA (Crescendum)

Crescendum Calibrum:

The best combo for DPS with Aphelios. Put a turret and keep spaming AA. The turret will mark as you AA to gain chakrams and do a lot of damage. Use Calibrum's Q to chase or finish. You can also use R to several more Chakrams.

Q (Crescendum) > R (Crescendum / Calibrum)

Calibrum Gravitum:

This is something that I call an "Utility Combo". YOu can use the root to escape. Calibrum to gain distance as they are slowed, etc.

Gravitum Infernum:

With this combo you can root in a big area as do a lot of AoE damage.

Q (Infernum) > W > Q (Gravitum) / R (Gravitum) > Q > W > Q (Infernum)

Infernum Severum:

This is great in TF (Maybe the best). Q with Severum to roast the enemy team!

Q (Severum) > W > R (Inferum) > Q [This heals a lot]

Once done that. Follow this Weapon Usage. The red line represents what you should use to get the other weapon. The orange one is what is going to happen if you don't, something you should avoid.
Fixing Weapon Rotation.
Alright, let's say you **** up your weapon rotation. Don't worry, what you need to do is to locate the flaw and try to figure out where the weapons should be.

We want to swap place between CRESCENDUM and CALIBRUM. So this is what you are going to do:

You want to have these weapon in hand, then waste the one you want in the back and the other one waste it AFTER. And that's about it. You did it!

As you may think. Yes, this works with every weapon.
