I truly appreciate the restraint on downvotes, brothas! :D

Revised the title to "OfftankPlank", because that's what I was really aiming for; massive Damage and CDR with a sturdy defensive base. Getting to 62% Crit chance ( Infinity Edge) and 40% CDR will actually happen in the time span of the vast majority of games, at which point you are extremely deadly!

Regardless of items, good positioning is the real key to survival.

Playing Clarity- Gangplank requires you to alter your playstyle, but having the ability to truly spam your moves is extraordinarily powerful. Clairvoyance works well for solo queue, where support is decent at best, and is included because summoner spells are fairly arbitrary on Gangplank. ;)

Anyways, I've found it extremely easy to dominate at all stages of the game with this build, so I put together an explanation of what works for me!

does not convince me in theory and also not in practice if i am honest, this tankplank-type is definetely lacking hp. the damage is outstanding thats true but you aer somewhat a glass cannon later on. though you have oranges i experience a quick focus and died in some seconds. and i think that youmus and sprirt visage do not scale into lategame, but they are you main source of CDR... and i did not really need clarity after having a Philosopher's Stone, it usually suits for me, clarity is a spell that can be better substituted by flash, just as CV that shall be left to your support. Tell him to CV the area you think about putting cannon barrage on.

imo the "classical" tankplank is stonger (meanse CDR boots, atmogs, IE, Trinity + 1 item of choice, i prefer Phantom Dancer) giving also 70% crit and being much more tanky at the same time. but you have only got 15% (or about 30 with the appropriate masteries and runes). That is a similar damage but its MUCH more tanky, just lacks some MR (well the MR by Spirit Visage is not TJHAT significant.

but well, you put effort in it and the idea is not bad. i think you get your full items quicker than in the build i named above so it may not be that tragical.

no downvote though

Thanks for the feedback! I like Spirit Visage so much because it quickly gets you to 35% CDR and 44 Damage from Atma's Impaler, whilst still letting you use an item slot for Magic Resistance ;)

(and- of course- eating oranges makes you even more K)
