The second time I went 0/2/12

What is Ivern's role?

Ivern's role, to me, is to get his teammates fed, deny enemy jungle and unless he is quite fed (and can do enough damage to start killing enemy champions) he should be playing as a support who's role is to peel for the ad(/p)c and using his E, Q, R and Redemption needs to keep his team alive. When I play Ivern, one of three possibilities tend to come about for me. Either I will be fed and do sh1ttons of damage to the enemy, I will be keeping my teammates alive and constantly have them in possession of blue or red buffs to assist them in carrying my team, or we lose cause no-one can beat that fed Yasuo in top lane.

Runes and Masteries

Runes:
During my time playing as Ivern I've tried multiple runes with different keystones and decide upon using dark harvest since Ivern cant use runes such as Electrocute, Press the Attack, Lethal Tempo or most other keystones (mind you this is my play style someone else might go full AP, max w first and concentrate on auto attacks with press the attack or lethal temp) and still be effective in the way that I utilize him.

Masteries:

Don't exist any more, pay attention!

The Clear

Mark Red (using passive).
Mark Raptors.
Take the Blastcone to Blue and mark then smite (I would do this last but you tend to run out of Mana).
Mark Wolves.
Mark Gromp.
Claim Raptors.
Claim Red.
Claim wolves.
Claim Gromp.
Then you can take one of their jungles or Rift Scuttle with your second smite.

Edit: Iverns ability to get rift (when he has smite) is great after they nearly broke jg

Abilities and Levelling

Passive:
Ivern's Passive is that he can't attack Jungle monsters except Baron, Rift Herald and the dragon(s). But he is able to plant a grove around the camp (Which will cost both mana and health) which after a short while will allow him to 'free' the monster, claiming full gold and buffs for this camp. After level 5 when he frees either the blue or red buff it will leave behind a sapling which another teammate can pick up to also gain the effects of the buff, and if a teammate kills a buff then it will also drop a sapling which only Ivern is able to pick up. Also if Ivern places a grove around a camp he can smite it to instantly free the camp.

Ivern's Passive allows him to effectively counter-jungle as well as supply his team with buffs, for example if you have someone like Yasuo mid lane yo can give him a free red allowing him to easily kill the enemy mid-laner, or if someone like Talon or ryze is your mid-laner and are having problems with sustaining mana can pick up a free blue which allows them to constantly use mana till that buff runs out and spam abilities more due to the extra 10% cdr that the blue buff provides.

Q:
Ivern's Q is RootCaller which allows him to stun the target for 1-2 seconds base on ability level and once stunned Ivern can press q once again or click on the stunned target to move within auto range (so if Brush Maker's passive is up will bring you closer but at the distance of the extra attack range) Ivern's teammates can also click on the target to move within auto range. If Daisy has been summoned she will automatically move toward the stunned target.

Ivern's Q is essential to getting kills, assists and feeding other champions (on your team). for example if your playing Ivern and are low and running from an enemy it can be a good idea to summon Daisy, E her then Q the enemy so she teleports to them and begins to attack them activating the airborne from her 3rd attack and doing damage and since the enemy generally pays no mind to Daisy, they continuously chase you down and you just kite them with Q, e and Daisy. This ability is essential to getting your teammates fed and can allow you movement around the jungle since you are able to Q the jungle monsters and press Q again or click on them to escape, or move through walls. We will put 3 points in this early game for a nice cd and 1.5 second stun

W:
Ivern's W is BrushMaker which passively increase his auto-attack range and damage (the extra damage scales off of his AP.) and actively places a bush down which lasts for 30 seconds and will connect to any terrain or other bushes Ivern has placed in a small surrounding area. Also a newly place bush will reveal the area around it for 3 seconds

Ivern's W is usually used to place in unseen positions to gain vision or to block enemy vision of dragon, baron or even your buffs. The passive I use to hit enemies on the run and make sure I don't move directly into the middle of their whole team in a team fight. We will level this ability up last as this specific build relies on damage through abilities early and mid-game but autos are good late game.

E:
Ivern's E is TriggerSeed which is a shield which Ivern can place on Daisy, himself or a teammate. after a few seconds this shield will explode dealing damage based on Ivern's AP (the damage the shield absorbs also scales off of Ivern's AP

Ivern's E is an ability which I use to shield myself and others from damage and if your kiting someone with Daisy it can block most damage your pursuer inflicts on either you or Daisy and does a fair amount of damage. We will max it out after our Q has reached level 3 as to allow us to have damage and a decent root duration.

R:
Ivern's R is Daisy! which summons what seems to be a stone giant which Ivern can control by pressing 'R' or ctrl-clicking and after three hits on the same target Daisy will perform an attack which causes earth to rupture and rise in a straight line causing all enemies hit to become airborne. Daisy's health, damage, armor and magic resist.

Ivern's R is the bread and butter of his kit, without it he would not only do no damage, but would be the easiest jungler to kill in the game but with Daisy he can just run away while Daisy cc's them and if you have someone like Yasuo on your team or anyone who can benefit from the enemy being airborne then it becomes an easy kill. If only one person chase a decent Ivern 9/10 using Daisy and your Q will keep you alive (assuming you have more health than is easily pokable and have bought an item which assists you in escaping an enemy(Shurema's Reverie) which I have highlighted in the 'Situational Items' section) Since Daisy is so essential for Ivern to survive without teammates we will upgrade it at every possible opportunity.

Spells

Ivern has many available possibilities for his sum spells when in jungle but smite is a must have due to the ability to easily dispose of the enemies jungle and give your own team the enemies buffs.

Flash: My generic choice as it can help get out of situations, mid you this spell isn't necessary due to the functions of Ivern's Q but is still very useful.

Ignite: is good to take when going for that extra little bit of damage.

Exhaust: is generally useful against a Nasus or someone with high amounts of damage

Heal: is what i never really use but could still be good

Teleport: is what I used once and really helped me get my top laner fed.
