Yasuo
Yasuo is one of Ahri's hardest matchups. She struggles to keep up with his shove and a lot of our poke can be blocked by his passive / wind wall. Your best bet is to focus on last hitting and look for roams when he leaves lane. If your jungler ganks make sure you hold onto your charm untill he uses his windwall, then ult past it and land the charm.
Introduction
Hello everyone, I am OpenBackpack, a D1-Master mid laner in NA(LUL). I've played since pre season 2 and have considered myself an Ahri main since season 4. I peaked top 25 challenger early season 7 and have been hovering d1-masters since. I stream my games on twitch, if you want to see me play a game of Ahri, feel free to ask and i'll try to play her for you. I purchased an "A New Dawn" Ahri statue (#216/550) so you know you can trust my guide...
Ahri is a very versatile champion with a pretty unique playstyle. Since her update in 8.9 her power shifted from a very mobile kite mage to a more bursty assassin, able to get in and out of fights with ease. Her laning phase starts off pretty weak but she quickly becomes a danger at 6 Spirit Rush. Her wave clear with Orb of Deception is very good, able to clear the back line of minions with a single Orb of Deception at level 9. Ahri's all in is very reliant on landing her Charm post 8.9 so taking some time to master it in the practice tool is recommended. I will cover her abilities more below. Thanks for reading, I'll link my social media below and we can dive into the guide.

Domination
Electrocute is the best keystone for Ahri by far. It gives her bonus burst which is really important for completing kills in all ins. After the update in 8.9 Fox-Fire will automatically fly to whoever you most recently auto attacked. We can abuse this change by auto attacking while we cast Orb of Deception and Fox-Fire at our lane opponent, instantly landing all 3 parts of Fox-Fire and proccing Electrocute |
Sudden Impact is the best option in this tree, the extra magic pen procs whenever we ult, exactly when we want it. Sorcerer's Shoes and Oblivion Orb in combination with Sudden Impact makes our bust potential terrifying against targets with low mr. |
Eyeball Collection is the simple choice here, it is the only one that offers offensive stats. |
There are a few choices here that makes sense for Ahri however, I opt for Ultimate Hunter over Relentless Hunter and Ravenous Hunter. Ahri is such an Spirit Rush dependant champion in the mid-late game. Having your Spirit Rush available more often allows you to get picks and escape scenarios that you couldn't otherwise. |
Sorcery
Similar to Ultimate Hunter we take Transcendence in the sorcery tree to help us access Spirit Rush more often in the mid-late game. |
The second rune is really up to you and your playstyle. Manaflow Band helps out with some of the manna issues Ahri will run into if you like to play aggressive in lane, spamming Orb of Deception. For a more powerful early game / all in Scorch adds some damage to your kit. This choice ultimately isn't too impactful, I usually opt for Manaflow Band. |
Flash and Ignite
Flash and Ignite are the two best summoners for Ahri in 99% of the cases. I wouldn't recommend running anything else really. The only other times you would want to take something else is if youre against a team comp that is heavily stacking one type of champions.
For example, if you were laning against a Twisted Fate with an Elise jungle and a Thresh support, Cleanse might be worth considering. I'd recommend building Mercury's Treads or Banshee's Veil instead though.
Another example would be a team stacking assassins/burst champions. Exhaust could be worth considering. It is effective against Talon, Rengar, Shaco, Riven ect...
While Exhaust might be tempting, i'd still take Ignite and instead try to build either Ninja Tabi or Zhonya's Hourglass and keep Ignite for your all in potential.
Most of the time I would say it is in your interest to alter your build path before changing a summoner spell to deal with the team you're facing.
