Well, im glad you asked. Aatrox is a vary fun and mobile bruiser with a fun to use and effective kit. he relies on his mobility to deal his damage and he is very strong at all ranks.

Pros-
-Lots of mobility
-good damage and power spikes
-good addition to any comp
-wave clear and splitpush

Cons-
-Gankable
-bad when behind
-expensive build

ON aatrox, we have 3 major rune pages

- Arcane comet- This is the best rune on Aatrox in most situations. Because of the knockup on your q, they almost always hit and provide Aatrox with much better poke in lane.


- Eloctrocute- Best in matchups against squishys, as it will amplify your burst damage.


-Grasp- Good in tougher matchups, because simply autoing with deathbringer stance will proc grasp allowing you to go for short trades.

Your going to ALWAYS take Flash, and it gives aatrox more escape and engage tools.


For your secondary, Teleport is the best one, especially against even matchups, but Ignite is also great against squishys.

In the early game, your cooldowns are long, so only go for fights if ou can easily hits your q's or the enemy is low. other than that, stay back and try to keep vision, and dont use your cooldowns.

after your first back and you get level 6, aatrox really turns. Your ults lets you go in for longer trades and with your first items you will do alot of damage. constantly try to get kills in lane and bully your openent use teleport to roam bot and help your team with objectives.

in teamfights you want to be wreaking havoc upon the enemy backline. By this time you should have max cdr, so you will constantly be able to reposition with your Umbral Dash in teamfights to do maximum damage.

Starting- Long sword and three pots- this is self explanatory.

First back- Warhammer and 2 pots

Full build- First, your going to rush black cleaver for the damage and cdr. Next, is deaths dance. if you brought the transendance rune, you will now have max CDR, bit if not, youll get it next item, youmous ghostblade and duskblade. After this we get a GA for the extra revive. At any time, buy either tabis or merc treads depending on your matchup.
