you have the right idea but could be a lot better

Thank you for your comment. About Thornmail, I consider it a situational item and buy it in the cases you mentioned. About Sunfire Aegis, I admit its effectiveness as an offensive item greatly decreases when in late game; however, I rarely sell it, because it grants a nice bunch of armor and HP. The only alternative I would see would be the excellent Randuin's Omen.

i couldnt agree with you more about Attack Speed items on Garen, i make almost the same build as you, but you should add somethings like:

Thornmail, man this item is perfect on garen when facing a DPS/Critical like Twitch or a Tryndamere, its hilarious to watch them kill themselves while you spin on their faces and then ignite that Tryndamere while hes running away with his ult

Sunfire Cape, its a great item early and mid game, lets Garen farm easily, but it kinda loses its effectiveness lategame

i would get giants belt or any other defensive item before flipping brutalizer to ghostblade, just a suggestion, garen is a good fighter but more from the defensive than offensive side

Thank you for your advice. I have never considered Frozen Mallet because I don't rely on auto-attacks and rather increase my movement speed; however, I must confess I never gave it a try. I'll test this!

Good first publish. I suspect you will be updating this in the future. Please expand on the strategy/playstyle of Garen.

I wouldn't discount the Frozen Mallet because building CC on Garen really boosts what he can do.
