AD Akali

Regular AP Akali, in most situations, has more damage than is needed to kill someone. This build converts that unnecessary damage into survivability. Additionally, AD Akali is stronger against bruisers and tanks. There are many situations where AP Akali struggles, but AD Akali has no problems dealing with them.

Laning Phase

The laning phase is pretty standard. You focus on stacking Grasp and try to trade as much as possible with Q → proc passive → AA. Akali wins most level 2 situations, so try to start fights with Q → AA with passive → W → Q → AA with passive → AA → Q → AA with passive. It’s important to leave the passive circle every time so you can proc it consistently. Rush Eclipse. After building Eclipse, you become unstoppable. Look for as many trades as possible, starting with Q → AA with passive (proccing Eclipse).

Teamfighting

AD Akali is 3 times tankier than regular Akali. With this build, especially after 3 items, you no longer have to worry about going in as the second or third engager. You can start fights yourself, even in 1v2/1v3 situations. In most situations, you engage with R → AA → Q → W → AA with passive. While staying inside your W, you assess the situation and buy time for your team. Since you’re Akali, the enemy team will automatically have you as their first target, so if the enemy team starts attacking your team, you should focus their backline or their strongest opponent.

The Core Rule- Eclipse

Eclipse is OP, and people aren’t used to Akali having it. Bait people when you’re low HP, especially if they’re low as well. Remember that spells proc Eclipse, so E → E procs Eclipse and gives you a shield.
