Some tips is you want to focus making your taunts because his crits are amazing so if u land a few crits then throw your vorpal blade you can land some good dmg and its a good build for taking down enemy tanks as well as the rest of the team but mostly you use your vorpal,and taunt and your shield so u can take a turret shot and your ultimate for scoring a kill or protection of an ally :P

Oh and yes if you are running slow in the match you may need to ks (kill secure) at least and you should be fed enough to still carry the team
