Whats Up, My name is WreckPT and I´m a noob playing in the EUW cuz NA sucks hard. Now seriously, if you clicked this guide you were hoping for super in-depht information on Alistar, but this is only a WIP so it only contais the basics like runes, masteries, builds, etc.

Alistar its not a champion for everyone since its not a intuitive champ like soraka or blitzcrank because when you play soraka or blitz your main function is heal to protect your adc from taking damage and making your opponents rage quit(soraka) or hit a hook and waste a flash or get a ez kill(blitz).
When you play alistar you have to now WHEN AND HOW to combo, heal and so on.
Alistar has a bit of every support:
Heal
CC
Almost Unkillabe

Also, Alistar counters almost every "popular" supports

Pros

+ Hard CC + Very Tanky With Unbreakable Will + Can win Games + Spammable Heal

Alistar is one of the best supports in-game, variety of combos can win teamfights keeping your team/ADC alive. Your spammable heal helps peeling.

Cons

- Low Mobility - Passive Can steal CS and Take Turret Aggro - WQ Combo is very buggy and it can be cancelled - A Bad Played Ali Can Lose TeamFights

Unfortunately, Alistar has low mobility and needs very time to really understand how to WQ QW Flash+QW etc. You will get flamed if your team lose the teamfight because you are a support and supports are considered secondary...

I Usually pick up this runes cuz it will help you win all trades in the laning phase and peel for your adc.
You can also go for Flat AD Reds since they help you win AA trades or Flat Health Yellows for early game tankiness

Windspeaker's Blessing - There´s actually a lot to say here but i will resume it:
Alistar doesn´t need the DMG reduction from Bond of Stone because Unbreakable Will is very powerfull. Also, since alistar is a teamfigher Windspeaker's Blessing is very good on him since he can buff his entire team.
Unyielding - Simple: More Armor And MR
Explorer - Great For Roam And Warding
Runic Armor - Gives YOU more shields( Locket of the Iron Solari) and heals ( Triumphant Roar)
Insight - Reduced CD on Flash = More Flashy Insec Crazy LCS Plays

Trample
// Alistar WRECKS nearby enemy units when she uses a ability for 3sec
// The Damage is very tiny but its enough to help push or take turret aggro and steal CS

I usually go for Unbreakable Will-» Pulverize-» Headbutt-» Triumphant Roar puting a point on my Triumphant Roar early on.
However against tough matchups i recommend maxing Headbutt first because you can exploit their mistakes more often.
