General Build Concepts
I'm not gonna type a full guide on how to play League of Legends or how to play Rengar Top; if you want to know how, then I would recommend you look up Dekar's guide and play a lot of Rengar to get used to him. Instead, I will assume that you clicked on this guide to try out the build as a change to your normal Rengar gameplay, so I am going to give a general idea of how I play around this build. Here we go:
And that's it! Good luck and have fun!
or lose to your inting team, the true soloq experience lmao
- The most important part of this build is your Sheen. Try to space your abilities around this cooldown, but always prioritize getting the tower plating; if you can sneak in that third plate in your tower push by throwing out every ability for an Empowered Q, do it.
- Between 8:00 and 12:00 (preferably as early as you can), start killing Rift Herald. Even if you don't have your jungler, you can still take it relatively quickly. Make sure you grab the herald (or anyone in your party), as you must decide how the game plays out. Try to take your tier 1 tower without herald, but if you can't get it before 14:00 alone then using herald is necessary.
- You are welcome to build your Tiamat any time between you getting your Trinity Force and Berserker's Greaves, and finishing your Titanic Hydra.
- Try to only roam for your Bonetooth Necklace or for towers. If the enemy top laner leaves to help fight for dragons and you and your team probably can't get you any new stacks of Bonetooth, just push your lane. It's a free 3+ plates or a tower no matter how badly your team suffers.
- Make sure you pick up the second Rift Herald as it will save you some time when pushing through a large wave of minions or taking base towers. This comes especially useful when you want to push their nexus turrets; a 33% health tower can be taken down without minions if you have enough items, meaning you can end without being obvious about it.
- There is no need to play for K/D/A, so as long as you don't put your enemy laner or jungler in a spot where they can kill you, the lane is practically free. For example, if the enemy is slowly pushing your Mid inhibitor and nobody is defending their base, run it down Top and end the game. Towers don't care about how much you fed the game, they only care about how much gold you spent on attack speed, health, and attack damage so far.
