Why AP Karma?
Hi! I'm a GrandMaster Karma Main on LAN. I'm making this build for anyone who wishes to take advantage of Karma's offensive qualities over her defensive ones.
AP Karma shines more during teamfights, especially when you hit multiple people with your R-Q's, however, this doesn't mean neglecting shielding your team. You should still be able to dish out really good shields even if not building enchanter items. You'll also be able to spam your abilities way more frequently given all of the ability haste you'll be building.
This build is also especially good if your team has a low magic damage output.

Ok... but why not play Brand/Zyra/Vel'Koz/Xerath instead?
Unlike them, you have multiple ways of getting people off of you. Some of them may have better range and burst damage, but you have more survivability and consistent damage. Also, you're far less mana hungry than all of them and have much lower cooldowns.
Itemization
As expected, you should only be building items that give you AP and ability haste.
Liandry's and Cosmic Drive are staples in this build since they will be your main source of damage and ability haste. After that, build whatever suits your needs i.e. Zhonya's for assassins, Banshee's for heavy magic damage comps, and Chemtech for anti-heals. Demonic Embrace is a good last item and gives you a nice combination of health and damage.

Laning Phase
Poke, poke, and poke some more. Check out the match ups for more detailed info on this. Just make sure to not get too cocky! You may also want to check with your ADC if he's ok with you poking by Q'ing minions, some may not like you pushing the lane.
Make sure to keep things as warded as possible. If the enemy has an assassin or a hard engage jungler they'll most likely gank you if you push too much.

Mid-Late Game
As AP Karma, you may want to E yourself to get some poking in with R-Q's. Getting the enemy team to low health will give your team an edge if a teamfight happens.
During teamfights, try to R-Q 2 or more champions that are together, even if they are tanks (your Liandry's helps a lot with that). This'll help you get your ult back almost immediately. Again, make sure to cast W even if you just walk away immediately to get your ult back quicker. As always, keep an eye out for the enemy assassins as they may want to jump on you.

Here I got 5 R-Qs in a single teamfight. Lots of damage!
