Well meh the upcoming patch is coming soon so even though i dindt finished i decided tyo go ahead and just public this before it comes out, i will continue the guide once the patch is out and i make the proper changes according to it

And let me tell you that 96% by That Trev Person is awesome, its easy to follow and if you are just starting, you will probably think your Amumu is an all powerfull being that can take tower hits like mosquito bites in fact its so awesome if you are just starting with amumu or just starting at all I recommend you follow that guide instead of this one, it will give you enough support in defense for you to first learn how to play Amumu but I strongly recommend you keep reading in order for you to take on a few tips on amumu which is what this guide is all about, that said you should probably FINALLY know


First off let me say sorry for the visual content i tried my best but i have almost no experience with bbc other than myspace but dont let that discourage you to keep readin.
Second of all the build you are seeing up there is for players with support, advanced players normally have premade teams and teams normally have support some people want amumu to play support and you probably should if there isnt, you can go hard support in which case I recommend Trevs Support Guide OR if u want to still keep doing the damages go like this:

Easy ill give my POV on what I do, why I do, a few tips here and there, why the build is as it is and as you have seen this build is MEANT to be An AP BURST while still retaining that tankyness that ur team needs

Pros / Cons

You are definitely playing a squeeshy tank in early game
If you jungle you need your blue buff
Highcool downs on Q and R which are ur CC so use them wisely

Q is a skillshot Q might get you killed

Very susceptible to harass from long range at early game

Somewhat susceptible to counter jungling
Slow at cleaning lanes at early G
No room for errors
You are definitely playing the most Damage output tank mid to end game
Great Jungler
You can save Towers and allies with your cc
You have alot of cc so a tower diver will take lots a damage if they dare cross into your dojo
Q might save your and your teams butt or get you a kill from a running opponent
Great anti tank
Your ultimate means serious bussines, it changes games and lives
Great for ganks
Great at cleaning lanes specially mid to end game
Can make you pay for yours
LOTS of assists Gold

AP and MP a must for an AP character, We take 1 flat AP and2 flat Def Quints, because of the people who start with all flat ATK your natural tankyness and 2 flat Def should be enough to keep em in check, usually mages dont start as heavy bcuz they build to be carries so they take on per level runes,Ive explained this bcuz Amumu is not really a strong natural tank against magic, but hes not a pushover, with what we have we should get a pretty fair encounter between opponents at lane

9 in Offense: AP, CDR and MP for free What a Great Mastery Tree :P

21 on Defense: Because your a tank. the health Regen given to us by INSTEAD of 30 HP Veteran´s Scars goes in synch with our which also gives us precious gold which is VERY important for an early game amumu

I think the Junglin masteries are as obviuos picks as obvious can get: Sustain, defense and damage agaisnt minion, all of them a must for junglers

though the one who will have more trouble will obviously be a 2 vs 1 Top he can take the beating as long as they dont have a puller or a very mean ranger which against a slow mummy like yours truly is just exhausting u can always call a switch and give it to someone who is a ranged character or who is a better top by nature, but dont be afraid to give it a try ur E and W u can dispatch of waves minions in a blink of an eye making your tower difficult to target, making your opponents get into more desperate tactics to take u both down, and this is where you turn the tables, TOP can be done if u hone ur skills right

Curse touch: This is a great Passive that Goes GREAT with our total Set, and with any and all AP users on your team, perfect.
(It stacks with["abysall scepter"]=(OH YEAH))

Despair: Great antitank ability that does nomal damgage combined with % damage directly on health per second and its on for as long as u still have mana to sustain it, you nor your enemies shouldnt take this ability lighly it drains them faster than it, looks always have it our n in any fight

Bandage toss: This here, THIS ability is ,wow this is probably the most important one to land , it defines amumu laning stage:

Your one and ONLY stun (keep that VERY in mind)
Decent damage
Great gap closer and maker(approaching, chasing, escaping, initiating) great intercepter you will save many lives with this and take many more
tis why people get scared pf you when u go into a bush(unless ur gf has something else to say in the matter)
Long reach, gets u trough walls, and its an INTERRUPTER

Downside its a SKILLshot with Relative High cdr and High Mana cost at early game, Missing or catching Minions oh you will trap many minions before totally mastering this, and u gotta learn how to read zig zags of enemy champs and that an enemy champion missing a spell is the best opening you will find, SEIZE IT

Tantrum: MADE for jungling, AOE with its CD lowered by .5/s everytime u get hit by and auto attack, and gives u passive Defense taking this into account and the fact that ur a tank and well...enough said, good damage at early game, decent then on after, great for cleaning waves of minions and taking the last hit.

First we take Despair By doing so, we have an ongoing ability, which at the level one cooldowns of ur enemies should scare them enough,
try to stay in bushes unless they have a puller. they wont know whichi ability you have and will probablhy think you went Bandage Toss if they are near, hit them for your passive while leaving this on, and procede to retreat,or just keep moving to dodge any stuns

Second we go with Bandage Toss From now on (keeping in mind we have Ignite and our rune build) we are very capable of taking a kill, alas no one ever expects the amumu taking the first blood, which makes it all the more easier for us MILF lovers Mummys id Like to Firstblood,
Location, location, location (bushes, bushes, bushes)
And timming, Tricky at the begginin to land, but it pays very well to learn, be aware of your enemie minions as well as your own minions HP since once a minion of yours is defeated the others will proceed to advance, and they might get on the way of that no less than perfect aim that we need, if an enemy goes very near to where you are hiding, i strongly recommend to first step out of the brush hit him for your passive and then you have 2 options
A) retreat back into the bushes
B) Kill his, hers or its behind
Your choice depends on these points:

Your companions, enemies and yourselfs HP AND MP
Your companions, enemies and yourselfs Location
Your """""""""""""""""" Abilities AND spells
Their Jungler possible location

I recommend to farm a very small amount at this stage, and let the most of it go to your partner, youll ibleget your share of gold later on by lane cleaning,kills and very much so from assists.

Tantrum is up next with this you will have that extra damage and defense you need, maximse it first to really take advantage of it and its passive in laning phase,
