A few things: Your masteries are very weird - do you realize how little amount of mana Expanded mind gives you? :s

I don't like Mejai's but that is purely opinion so I will let that be it, however you wait quite a long time with getting Archangel's Staff. Might I suggest you get it before your Void Staff?

Other than that you will be very squishy all the way through the game with this build and very prone to ganks especially early as you don't go with flat health quints. And even with those you get NO defensive item at all - meaning you have very very little amounts of Armor and Mres. So any nuker will kill you in a matter of seconds, maybe getting a Veil instead of DFG later would help with this?

The guide in general is very thin and could use some more explanations about laning etc.

hey, about your masteries:
you have 1 point too many in utility.

yea a pretty standard build for anivia but anivia is one of my favorite champs =) it is smart to go megai's but the problem is the gold. your prob around like lvl 11 or 12 when you get megais and i see it a little pointless but that my opinion.

Yes, runes are things I do take time to look over more carefully as well.

Cool - I vote for Mejai's... it costs 1200 gold... a blasting wand at 860 gold gives 40 AP. Mejai's is worth making early- mid game in almost every circumstance (feeding would not be). I don't find myself grabbing W (Crystallize Wall) until later on, but it could be an additional defensive tactic.

Masteries are free additives which are very nice, worth kinda paying more attention too - BUT, runes are where it's at. They are the key to having the edge on your opponents. Their stats add up much quicker than all the masteries.

Tbh, masteries are things I don't have much of a care for, and upon reflection, 9/0/21 is better. I'll be making changes.

@M0b1us
As for Mejai's, I didn't realize people had difficulty racking up stacks.

Yes, the Gold mastery is quite useless. I agree. I'll change that. Other than Summoner Spell masteries, you can tell I don't give much thought into the masteries.

Yes, quints and runes are optional. It's just that I have absolutely no problem with this set-up, so I didn't change it.

I also agree on the skill sequence. W is also completely viable early on at lv 4.

Mejai's is eh IMO. It does provide a huge AP boost if you manage to get 20 stacks and also provides a 15% CD reduction at that point. The problem is that it is often difficult to get to that point.

Your points in utility are good overall. However the point in the greed mastery is useless. 1 gold every 10 seconds = 6 gold every minute = 360 gold an hour. You can't even buy a sapphire crystal with that. The defensive points are questionable. Sure they make you a bit (a very small bit) tankier. I just don't see how valuable that is. Once you have catalyst you should be able to lane just fine.

The only thing I would question on your rune selection are your quints. I assume that you made those into options, (you should get either 3 of these or three of those). However you don't explain that if that is what you meant. So there is also a voice that says that those three together are not providing there prime boost.

Skill sequence I find that there is no set and stone way. I do have some insight though. Early game glacial storm is not a mana efficient farming tool. So I normally keep FB one level ahead of FF and I use FF to farm early game. You might also want to consider getting her W early on (level 3-4) if you are solo laning.

Can't say I like it, but I also can't say I hate it.

I'm curious your reasoning behind the defensive masteries as opposed to the 9/0/21 build with the magic penetration spell in offensive. Not necessarily criticizing your choice, I'm an Anivia player, just want to hear your reasoning behind it.

Thanks - VertabreakeR

Thank you for your opinion. In my case however, my stacks for Mejai's Soulstealer almost always reaches above 14, at min.

I agree with you on the begining spell sequence, mana-wise i mean!
Mana preservations is uber alles, bellow lvl 10!

FF needs indeed practice to master, just as any other no-homing bolt!

my only objection is "Mejai's Soulstealer".
I used to have it as a must, but i realized It never actually reaches much high in stacks!
At least in early-mid game. you could outbalance it with another straight-giving-AP item at similar prices.
anyway, it's just my opinion . . .

nice buid anyway, interesting way of thinking!
Cheers !
