boots first since you need to be able to block spells from the person you face mid.
I choose mejais becuase i allways try to play greedy in the start, getting as many kills mid as i can or even go bot/top ganking.
tear of godess is my favorite item, because anivia is a very mana depentent hero and doesnt have many cooldowns, and catalyst the protector for much mana and hp, and the passive makes me able to stay on lane a long time.

Runes

I'd like to go full ap since the more ap the better, nuff said :)

Masteries

This is the standard masteries of the pro players, everywhere from fnatic to solomid to sk. standard full ap masteries.

Ability choice

i allways max frostbite since its anivias main dmg source. second comes crystallize, i take it to level 3 as soon as i have 2 on flashfrost and 5 on frostbite. The reason for my choice of level 3 crystallize is that level 3 is the range that is enough to block all paths in jungle and perfect blocking on lane to.
