At the beginning you say "updated for Preseason 7". Is it updated for season 7 now?
Some phrases I don't understand:

#1) doran's blade start on ap varus. something that i've discovered about ap varus is that if you run the recommended masteries in the guide with AP quints and MPen marks then taking your w will increase you on hit aa damage by 16, 10 from the base damage on the skill and 6 from the .25 ap ratio. when added up with your base ad 46(i believe) and 7 ad from a dorans blade you end up with 53 ad at lvl 1 with 16 points of magic damage on top of that for a grand total of 69(roflrofl) points of damage mixed between ad and ap.
now, if you're playing ad varus with standard ad masteries and a full set of ad marks and quints(some form of LS or AS is usually mixed into that)also starting with a doran's blade you end up with 74 starting ad, and usually you wont take w at lvl 1 so thats your on hit dmg. a mere 5 points more and without the benefit of having a mix of magic damage and physical damage.
what this means, imo, is that you can usually fool people into thinking that you're playing ad varus if they don't bother to scroll over your stats and see you have some ap and also you have aa's that hurt like heck with a 575 range so you can usually out trade any skillshot reliant champ while farming incredibly easily.
#2) i don't think void staff is a good buy on ap varus because of how well wit's end synergizes with ruunan's hurricane and nashor's tooth. hurricane was basically built for varus in the sense that the 2 additional projectiles, while only dealing 50% of your ad, deal 100% of the damage from w's passive...and nashor's passive...and wit's extra damage AND mr leech effect stealing 45 mr in 3 aa's, 15 from each target up to a maximum of 75 mr leeched in your favor reducing theirs by 25 each but let's be honest they're usually dead b4 you can get to that lol.
TL;DR: awesome guide, ap varus hits like a truck, try starting D Blade and rushing a wit's end.

AP Varus
As I saw in the video,
I don't really feel a need to force my build onto people, I created this guide to share the idea, not to convince anyone that it's good. Runaan is good only if you're stomping, more often that not though you can't give up MR/Armor+Active for more damage, especially in organized play.
AP Varus
As I saw in the video,
I suggest: I max W first because it doesn't make me rely on mana and it makes my autoattacks stronger which allows me to harass and to last hit with ease. Also, when you put multiple stacks on the enemy, W will give you more damage than Q or E in the long run.
As simple as that.
