Okie. Revoking my tentative up-vote. And now I don't feel bad about it, since I archived my guide. There are still various issues with this guide that have yet to be fixed, and they are majorly made up of things that I already mentioned to you. Yeah.

How can you prefer lane over jungle if you have never tried jungle before? This line should read "I have never tried to jungle, therefore I cannot comment on its viability." Also if you want to make this a better guide, go try to jungle!

I've been using a combination of your builds here recently and the team utility as well as the late game tankiness-ap destruction is super fun. Good builds.

It's... better. There are still issues I have with the build itself from my other post that are still iffy, but it's ok now... This is more like a tentative up-vote in the hopes that you will continue to update and improve your guide into the future.

hint: your runes could still use work, 4 guides on the top looks messy, and I still hold that you should prooobably jungle amumu, or state that your guide is for lower level players who lack runes, because jungle amumu is simply superior...

I do admit I went a bit too far saying that you should probably not write a guide. That was uncalled for and quite rude. However, jungling over laning is not my opinion alone. The only time jungling will not be consistently better is where you have no one to man a 2v1 top lane for lower levels. Ask anyone at a mediocre elo or higher. As for writing a guide while I already had one, I realize you were joking, but I had the same thought in my head with others commenting on my guide, so I'd thought I'd be clear with you. I actually decided to rate this guide when I saw that it was affecting other people's guides for the worse as they made theirs. However, if the guide improves, I will GLADLY switch that vote around.

p.p.p.p.s. I knooooooooow. I'm sorry. Another note. But also, you shouldn't be worried about redundancy with other guides. Your aura build is the unique thing. Think of it like... clothing. Maybe your style can be a little different, but everyone where's a shirt and pants (don't get all wise and tell me stuff like dresses, ok?). Jungling is like that stuff. The reason it's popular is because it's good. The BIGGEST reason why people don't lane Amumu is that there's no place for him. Although the meta is shifting with all the support changes, the most common is still AP mid, ad support bot, a sustainable top (generally tanky or tank) solo top, and a jungler. In that set-up, either Amumu jungles, or solos top (and there are definitely better solo options). He's just so good in jungle, and so mediocre in lane...


tl;dr - I'm sorry I was rude earlier. I was not myself. But I can't change my vote to neutral, and I'm not going to upvote it unless it deserves it, so we're stuck until you fix stuff.

Used this build to play amumu my first time. Worked out perfect!

Seeing that you have a build on Amumu as well, one could consider this a troll comment of jealousy... jk.
Thanks for the advice, and to be honest I did want some criticism. I'm going to work on this build again as soon as possible. I do agree with all of you points brought out, except for the verdict of laning Amumu. I should probably of given a more clear 'set in stone' pathing.
On to more important things, I don't 'attack' jungle Amumu, or suggest that Laning is better by anyway (if my memory doesn't betray me). I now simply point that: that is your opinion, my opinion from my experience which I have accumulated, and so far Laning has worked, far more consistently than jungling. I found that statement about me not having, I dunno, the right? or ability? or experience? to write a build, quite offending. Hypothetically, if I were to write another section for jungling, it would most likely lack originality and be plagiarising higher voted guides.

There are... a lot of issues with this guide... I hate to sound harsh, but your only criticism has come from a troll so far, and I think you deserve the chance to see what's wrong with your guide.

• The first thing I notice is aesthetic and not important, but I'd figure I'd nitpick. 4 guides at the top just looks messy. Didn't leave a good first impression.
  
  
• Laning Amumu is faaaar worse than jungle Amumu. If you have to lane, don't play Amumu, because there are better choices. I hate to say it (I did read about you never playing Amumu in jungle), but you should probably jungle Amumu before you even write a guide. There's simply no reason to lane Amumu. Period.
  
  
• Boots of Swiftness are pretty awful. Mercury's Treads or Ionian Boots of Lucidity are the way to go with boots. ONLY RUN Ninja Tabi WITH DODGE SEALS AND DODGE MASTERIES.
  
  
• In your masteries, only get 1 point in Harden Skin . The last two points only give .5 reduction each. There are better uses for those two points.
  
  
• Please explain your situational items. You have stars next to items you would "refrain from buying."
  
  
• You... uhhh... contradict yourself a lot, like putting Frozen Heart in your cheat sheet, but saying you don't recommend as- items? It's just very disorganized.

I think that an aura-built Amumu could be viable, but the guide you have made for it is simply not the best. Disorganized, not easy to read, and has lots of excess information that is of little or no use (example: six glyph choices? This just confuses readers). If you respond to or address these changes, I will consider changing my vote. But this guide could be a LOT better than it is right now.
