Though the northern reaches of Freljord are some of the most unforgiving lands in Valoran, the Ursine have survived upon the region's barren, stormy tundra for centuries. As a fierce and respected warrior of the Ursine, Volibear devoted his life to the protection of his people and loyalty to his elder brother, the tribe's chief. When his brother was killed during a hunt on the tundra, the tribe looked to Volibear as his successor. It was an honor and a burden that Volibear had never expected, but he shouldered the charge with pride. However, by Ursine tradition, the tribe could not recognize Volibear as chief until he returned from a journey to the peak of their sacred mountain, a place forever shrouded in a thundering maelstrom. There, Ursine chieftains must speak to the storm itself, gaining clarity and wisdom to empower them as mighty leaders.

Donning the chieftain's traditional armor and enchanted gauntlets, Volibear began the long and perilous climb up the slopes of the mountain. When he reached the peak and gazed into the raging storm above, he saw a horrific vision of a Freljord utterly consumed by war. Amidst the carnage, the Ursine fell dead upon a bloody battlefield. Believing the vision to be an omen of things to come if he did not act against them, Volibear traveled to the capitol of Freljord. The Ursine had not ventured across the southern mountains in centuries and his appearance was met with unease. However, Queen Ashe recognized Volibear as a wise and powerful ally. In what Volibear considered the first step against a war-torn future, they forged an alliance. As part of their agreement, he joined the League of Legends in the name of a unified Freljord, representing the primal might of his nation on the Field of Justice.

My name is bob and this is my first guide but feel i have enough exp. with voli to write a decent guide for his furry butt.

PROS
[*] can hold lane for longer than alot of champs with his passive
[*] top teir solo fighter
[*] great chase and soft cc
[*] ult is great in so mant situations( stealing buffs, team fights, clearing waves while still poking them, leblanc passive and shaco's clone become lightning rods)
[*] build straight defensive items that grant health and you still do stupid amounts of damage




Cons
[*] ignite kills his passive so watch out
[*] relativly slow at start
[*] Frenzy(w) requires 3 auto attacks to use

The runes I have are self explaining volibear is a dps tank(or atleast in my mind).


[*] armor pen for more damage
[*] early game defense and resist

OTHER RUNES
[*] the % hp runes will be very very usefull when the do come out so i wanna play with those.

Great



Heal
[*] heal baits and goes with his passive great. go from less than 30% to almost full in 6 seconds



Ignite
[*] ignite is great in so many situations, lefesteal melee fighters, healers, and just to get the last damage to kill them
Other decent



Exhaust
[*] do more damage they dish out less and slows them



Ghost
[*] coupled with his rolling thunder(q) allows for great chase down and pass through minions

Passive grants healing = to 30% of max hp when below 30%
Rolling Thunder[*] Great for chasing since it grants bonus movement speed when running toward an enemy, and then flips them behind you.
Frenzy[*] After 3 auto attacks you bite the enemy which scales off of your bonus hp and gets boosted by 1% for each 1% they are missing.(Rolling Thunders flip counts toward this)
Majestic Roar[*] Slows enemies, fears minions, and does some damage. Makes it easy to get buffs.
Thunder Claws[*] Attacks cause chain lightning. Great for multiple enemies and running in hitting people and stealing the buff they were trying to get.

Combos
[*] Get two auto attcks on a minion to get your w ready
[*] Use rolling thunder to run up to them and flip them also getting the third count on Frenzy
[*] After the flip use Majestic Roar to slow them
[*] Depending on how they react wheather they stay and fight or run will depend how you activate Frenzies bite.
[*] If they stay and fight just beat on them till your bite will kill them
[*] If they run activate bite just to hurt them and then ignite for the kill, chase with Rolling Thunder.

With the way voli works with all his abilities and passive he can do huge amounts of burst damage survive a huge beating chase and be just scary as ****. With the full build you will have around 150 armor and mag resist, a lil over 4k hp, and 210ish ad. Above everything else voli is a super fun champ to play and will likely be a insta ban on 3's.
