Introduction

This is my first guide ever, do not let that scare you away, I am not a noob, I just never took teh time to share one of my amazing builds. I figured the world should see the power. I used to look up guides for my new champs when I first started but now I just use my knowledge to make my own builds from scratch, just experimenting for 2-3 rounds until I find the perfect set up. I almost always do better than when I follow a build, as many guides are not very good or are only good for a certain playstyle, I like dynamic champs.

This guide is for my tanky, damage dealing jungle Shyvanna, I hope you like it as much as I do.

Runes

As far as runes go, you mainly want survivability.
Reds- Crit chance or armor pen, depending on preference, I always go for crit chance.
Yellows- Dodge, this is great for pesky golems and almost any auto attacking character. They pair perfectly with ninja tabai giving nearly 20% dodge
Blues- flat magic resist, with Shyvannas passive this gives a good amount of resist at lvl 6 and up
Quints- flat armor, again with the passive it is great

So you will end up with teh following:
13 armor
13 magic resist
roughly 8% dodge
roughly 9% crit

Masteries

With masteries you will want offense and defense, ending with 17 off and 13 def
build up to the life steal in offense and the bonus life in defense as shown in the charts.
This gives you extra armor, resist, life and then a slew of minor offense enhancements.
This along with your runes gives you 19 bonus armor and magic resist right off the bat, and once you hit lvl 6 and get the passive you will be extremely survivable even without items.

Items

Items. For starters get the vampiric scepter, with masteries this gives 15% life steal, which is enough to the point you dont need to buy any health potions. After vampiric build your ninja boots. After that build the vampiric into wriggles lantern. After you get those 2 basic jungle items you can start the core build. Rush triforce asap, I always get zeal first for the movement and crit, thats why crit runes are a good choice. After you build triforce either go straight for madreds unless they have a heavy ap team which then you want to get the magic resist cloak part of force of nature and then build madreds and finish off force after the bloodrazers. That is your main build, their is one slot left with 2 options. If you want to be tankier, get warmogs. If you want to deal more damage get infinity edge. It really depends on the team you are fighting and how rich you are.
So with a finished build you will have the plenty of damage, over 200 base damage plus madreds and triforce bonuses, triforce and double strike equal one MEAN punch. You will also have loads of armor and magic resist, roughly 180 of each. If i remember correctly I had 177 armor and 177 magic resist at lvl 17 or so, which makes this an extremely balanced build. Add that with the 20% increased move speed paired with the speed boost from your W and you get a blazing fast dragon that chases you down with ease.

Skill Sequence

You are going to start off with burning agony and max that first. It clears jungle very very fast and the speed bonus is great for chasing down foes. Max out double strike second and then finish off the other one and obviously skilling up the ult at 6 11 16.

Summoner Spells

Smite of course is a must, and get exhaust second for gankability. If most other champs on your team have exhaust you can get ignite for the lulz of owning low lifers trying to escape.

Pros / Cons

Pros- too many to list
deals awesome damage
very hardy and survivable for team fights
great initiation with dragon flight
some say she is THE fastest jungler, I don't know if this is true but I clear that jungle soooo fast.
She can own most other junglers because of her high armor and good damage, you don't have to worry about lee sin or nocturne jumping you while you take down red buff.
super fast at chasing down prey
dragon flight into ganks and push enemies closer to your side
super fast at escaping, by running with her W on, and in a pinch dragon flight has longer range than flash.
does not need blue buff allowing your solo mid to have an edge on the enemy
cons- none that I can think of at the moment, I will edit if need be.

Creeping / Jungling

So for jungle, you wanna start at the wolves, let your ap mid take blue buff, have teamates help to make it fast. Go to wolves and just kill them with your auto attack and AOE, save smite for the blue wraith. After wolves smite the blue wraith then own the smaller ones, Move to golems and just fight toe to toe, your health will get very low but with practice you they will never kill you, you should escape with about 5% health most of the time. Recall as soon as you kill the second one. Buy your boots, and move back to wolves, while you run up check your lanes to see if anyone is in good position to gank, if not go ahead and do a second run on the jungle. Shop after golems and start your wriggles. On the third round through jungle you should be able to handle red and blue buff now, try giving blue to your ap teamates though.
That is the basic start of shyvanna jungle, once you hit 6 look for more ganking chances and just be smart and help where you are needed. Jungle whenever not needed, by now you should clear any camp in like 3 seconds. If you are brave and the other team has a squishy jungler such as fiddle or even lee sin you can try finding them and killing them and then steal their jungle. I would probably not try that against rammus, udyr may also be a bad target due to his stun.

Summary

All in all, Shyvanna is a great asset to any team. She is an amazing well rounded champ when using my build. I tried to make the build as balanced as possible, indcluding speed, damage, armor, crit, attack speed, and magic resist. Try my strategy out and see for yourself the power of the jungle shyvanna. practice a few times in regular before moving to ranked jsut to perfect your strategy. In my last round before I wrote this guide, I carried my team of 4 against a team of 5 in ranked mode. 25 kills, 1 death, 10 assists. We won even though a troll quit as soon as game started, it was a shaco and he stole blue buff from our mid and then quit right after. I have a screenshot as proof. Leave a comment if you try it out, let me know how you like it.
I think I am just under the 5,000 letter mark so I guess I will just add this extra sentence letting you know that I only needed a few more letters to hit the mark in order to make this a complete guide, I hope I don't get banned for ONE extra sentence, that would suck.
