Champion Build Guide

Climbing To Gold

By Mpegial
Introduction
Hello I am Mpegial(Pronounced as Beyal) and I would like to help people that aren't too sure how to improve in the game, since my friends and many other players are stuck at Silver or below. This guide is short and will give information about what is key in getting better.
Map & Warding
The map is one of the most important parts of the game, without the map you can consider your game lost, of course that isn't always the case but that is just how important it is.

The reason the map is so important is because it helps you gain information like: Where your enemy is, their actions, are they taking Dragon ? Or are they attacking Baron Nashor ? Vision is key to this game because even if they are stronger late or early game, your team can use the information they have on the enemy to make strategic decisions like split pushing or taking them down one by one.

Information gives you a huge advantage, knowing where your enemy is, what they are doing and where their team is can help you beat the enemy
Wards , are essential to everything of what we just said, along with those in the early game it is also good that ALL of your team buys Control Ward. While they may be taken out constantly positioning them properly can give your Jungler a good advantage for ganking, attacking the enemy Jungle and overall disrupting the enemy.
Items
If you do not know what you want to build for your champion or how you should build them I suggest you go and read a good guide on them instantly because it will be a quick way to do it, reading carefully and understanding why it's better is also something that I would recommend. I see this problem many times where people do not know how to build their champions thus I suggest looking up a guide.

Now if you are the type of person that can play any champion for that lane or can play all lanes, my suggestion is obvious and simple, what you need to learn is how that lane works for your type (AD, AP, Tank, Support), you still might not be able to build properly but understanding the basics of your role will help you tremendously to build properly.

Another last thing to note is building according to the situation. You must always! try and build depending on what the enemy is, if they are AP you should build Magic Resist, if they are AD you should build Armor, for enemies that have intense crowd control something like increasing your Health or building items against crowd control like Mercury's Treads which gives you Tenacity .
Team Work
Welpity welps, this is the hardest one of them all. For starters if you are playing with randoms you will have the hardest time and it is almost impossible to do anything about teamwork in this situation unless you are lucky.

So the main problem is Toxicity, people usually get angry the moment they see something stupid or idiotic happen from an ally, the problem with this is the idea that "You aren't allowed to make mistakes".

My solution would be to play with friends, now I know that this isn't always an option and I get that. In that case the best I can offer you is to try and cooperate with your team and Mute the ones that are Toxic, use Ping often to give them signals that an enemy is coming, or you are on your way. But do also use chat to discuss what you should do, like " Should we do Dragon ?" "No everyone is dead let's go do Baron Nashor ". Talking and thinking with your team is even more crucial than using Wards and utilizing the map properly, as Team Work is the fastest and easiest way to win.
Farming
Farming is more useful than you think, kills may give you a good amount of gold but they bear the risk that you give the enemy the same amount or more if you get shut down. I my self am not really the best farmer at best my tier is Gold to low Platinum, however I do understand the importance of farming simply because in the long run it will be far more rewarding than a few kills, stacking up Gold bit by bit really helps a lot. Missing a lot of CS early on can be fatal to your later game. I would argue that using your abilities to farm CS is absolutely worth it, even though it may feel like a waste of Mana or Energy.
Objectives
Objectives such as Baron Nashor , Rift Herald , Dragon and Elder Dragon are all very useful and important, but I want to emphasize on something else a lot more.

Rift Herald none ever! kills this monster, they all ignore it yet it is far more useful than the late game objectives, especially if you are losing, because it gives your team room to breathe, stabilize and recover.

Another problem I see is people getting overconfident because they are winning and are ahead, while it's fine in most cases there are cases when the enemy even though they were losing suddenly grew stronger, good examples for this are Nasus and Veigar, which is why you shouldn't ignore objectives even if you are winning.

But the biggest problem I see is tied yet again to Vision, a lot of times objectives are stolen, or taken earlier because none is aware of it, thus yet again it's extremely important to place Wards properly.
