Updates
12.25.2011 - Changed prefered Summoners to Heal/Flash.
This is my first build/guide. I was curious how other people play Gragas in Dominion and I realized nobody had written a guide on him. So I created an account and started writing.
Gragas is so much fun on the Crystal Scar - I just need to share this and get some feedback - let me know about your experience as well and about how you … Dominate with Gragas!
Ok,... so let's find out how to create a guide, shall we?
(English is not my mother tongue btw - so don't be too harsh in your judgment, please.)

Usually as Gragas I go solo bottom lane on the Crystal Scar. Gragas has a strong farm and with promote he can put pressure on bottom lane early on.
With the mobility of Body Slam you could also try to create a build as conqueror with boots of mobility and Force of Nature, but I feel there are other champs out there better suited for this role, like Janna, Singed or Rammus, Zilean, … anyone with built in long-ranged mobility really.
Bottom lane is not a must so if there is a Heimer on your team who wants it, that’s fine too.

This build focuses on staying alive and utilizing Gragas' passive (don't know how to include the icon yet) while still being able to dish out some pretty nice damage combos.
I try to build around Gragas’ built in mechanics – meaning his passive as well as his tankyness and additional physical damage from Drunken Rage which should be active 24/7.
This also is the reason why I do not play AP Gragas. So I cannot really say anything about his viability for Dominion at all.

I pick standard tanky runes to keep me in bottom lane as long as possible. Health, armor, magic resist, some armor pen. That’s it.
Masteries so far focused on damage output while picking up magic resist and all +health you can get.
Summoner Spells are Promote and Flash for bottom lane. When I know somebody else is going bottom lane my Summoners will be Heal/Flash. Ghost, Exhaust, Ignite and Garrison are nice picks too but I feel that Heal/Flash and Promote/Flash fit my play style and the build as a whole best.
Since Heal got buffed I feel Heal/Flash are probably stronger than my usual Promote/Flash which I always used previously. Still have to take a look into Surge though... never tried that one.

I play Gragas as tanky/dps and start maximizing E (Body Slam) first, Drunken Rage second and Barrel Roll last, taking a point in Explosive Cask whenever possible.
I usually start out with one point in Q, W, E each and Mercury's Boots and 3 Health pots. As
I said before I usually go solo bottom lane. I start out as aggressive as I can, eating creep waves with Barrel Roll, Body Slam and Promote. The goal is to harass my opponent and push the lane as fast as possible, to get control of all 3 health-pack locations as fast as possible (also the one in their base, easy with Flash and Body Slam).
Whenever I can I Body Slam my opponent, slap him across the face and retreat to pick up a health pack. Since I have higher health regen and health packs as well as 3 health pots my opponent should be the one porting back to his base first. That’s when I grab their turret.
That of course is the ideal situation, the “plan”. But Dominion is a fast paced game and requires a lot of flexibility, so whenever I feel I can leave my lane by itself, I try to sneak away and steal one of their turrets.
The whole idea of this build is to constantly harass the enemy team trying to stay alive and use body slam’s mobility to get away safely. I want them to focus as much of their time and resources trying to stop or kill me – which will not happen most of the time.
Time… that really is the whole point. I want their team to spend their time on me, so my team can do their job.

I try to stay drunk 24/7 and use Body Slam as my main attack against enemy champs and as escape mechanism. Body Slam also helps me moving around the map and picking up health packs whenever I can. Barrel Roll helps farming early on and has a nice debuff.
I tend to use all spells as much as possible to keep my passive active (sounds funny) pretty much all the time.

The item build I currently play around with is pretty much the same almost every game. I get my items in this order:
CORE ITEMS:
• Boots (usually Mercury's ... Ninja Tabis against physical-heavy teams)
• Spirit Visage (good defensive stats plus essential cool down reduction for 24/7 drunkenness, also the unique passive makes this a no-brainer, since this build focuses around Gragas’ passive health regen)
• Sheen (spam your spells to keep those procs coming)
• Giant's Belt (inexpensive health to fuel your passive even more)
Most games usually end before I get anything else.
MORE ITEMS (no specific order):
• Sunfire Cape (more stats and damage)
• Trinity Force (no statpoint wasted on this one)
• Atma's Impaler (we're stacking hp here, so a no-brainer really)
Last item is optional... could be an Infinity's Edge or Wits End or anything really. I feel that my item choices are quite expensive at times, but all in all it has worked really fine in most games.

I think this is pretty much it. Never wrote a guide before so there's certainly some white spots I forgot to mention, but as comments keep coming I'm sure we will get rid of them soon.
So thank everybody who took the time to read this far. Leave comments below and go out there and ... Dominate with Gragas!
Cheers,
