Dr. Mundo Passive Ability
If you are building a Tanky Mundo, then your Masteries should looks similar to this:
If you are going to be building it my favorite way, DPS off-TANK Mundo, then your Masteries should be similar to the one in the beginning of the page.
You can go different ways with Mundo! There is never "wrong masteries" for Dr. Mundo.
-I find that my Items are well shot-on. Start out with a solid Health Regen item, ie. Regrowth Pendant.
Boots: There are many boots that actually make Dr. Mundo effective. My favorite boots for Dr. Mundo is Ionian Boots and a lot of people have been asking me, "Why Ionian? Why not Swiftness?" Well, the beginning of the game basically determines the outcome of the whole game. Whether it's someone feeding like a little female dog or someone just complete raping the other team with only boots. Ionian boots lowers your cool-down for everything. That means your cool-down for your ultimate is consider low for an ultimate. Around 38-45 seconds is low to me. You never have to go back! But if you don't like the slowness of Dr. Mundo then get swiftness or Mobility or if the game is about to end get some Berserker boots(which I don't recommend). Ninja Tabi is good sometimes. Dodges come in handy when you're in a sticky situation.
Next up, Spirit Visage. There's not much to talk about Spirit Visage. It gives cool-down which helps a lot while playing Dr. Mundo.
CORE ITEMS: Oh baby. Core Items.
Warmogs:I say the most important item for Dr. Mundo is a Warmog or Warmogs. A Warmog is very, very important, cause sometimes Mundo is very squishy. Getting a Warmog will change that in just seconds.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter: People ask me,"Why that? Isn't Dr. Mundo a DPS Tank kinda guy." Well, yes he is, but if you're not aware of his W Skill, Burning Agony, it summons a ring of fire, but made out of balls... <- No ****. Rylai's Crystal Scepter passive basically means the Champions skills will slow what ever it hits. When you're chasing down lucky people who are trying to get away or in a team fight and they're running away. BOOM BUN BAM. Rylai's Crystal Scepter to the rescue! It slows everything it hits, similar to a Frozen Mallet but better!
Banshee's Veil, Thornmail, or Force of Nature: This all depends who you're going against. If you're going against a CC team, then I prefer Banshee's Veil. It can help a lot to get away from people who are chasing you.
If you're facing a full AD or almost full AD team, then I suggest you get Thornmail fast. Thornmails are more around Tanky Mundo. Thornmail will help Dr. Mundo stay alive and keep AD people from doing massive damage to you.
Lastly, Force of Nature. Force of Nature is somewhat a Tanky Item. It does similar things to what a Thornmail does, keeps you alive. Get a Force of Nature when you're going against an AP team that do massive damage burst.
My Second Spell is all depending on my team. If my team doesn't have Exhaust, Ignite, or for jokes, Fortify. I never use Fortify.. ever o.o
Cleanse is also great for initiating team fights, getting away from chasing opponents, and of course annoying *** CC.
