Introduction

Hi all, My name is Tallion86. I'm just your average league player.

I don't normally make guides, but I felt it necessary to share this one. Eve is a highly underrated champ in most instances. I'll update this later depending on the response I get from the community.

Runes

I feel like taking magic pen runes is nearly a must for any AP carry. Also with the inclusion of the Abyssal Scepter, You will counter most of the magic resist any champ might pick up. The flat AP runes will allow your farming with Hate Spikes to be extremely potent at early levels. The extra damage is very effective on champs early as well. My reasoning behind the magic resist runes lies in taking less damage from your opponent in mid; scaling nicely into the late game with the extra magic resist you get from the Guardian's Angel.

Masteries

AP masteries are very straight forward. A lot of summoners will tell you that the defense tree is the most viable second tree to put the rest of your points. I feel like eve benefits more from the utility tree. Eve, by nature, is quite the escape artist. If you happen to die, having that reduction on your time spent dead can really smooth over the mistakes you might make.

Items

This is where things get a little confusing for most summoners. LOL offers so many viable options for an item build. Keep in mind that these items have yielded awesome results for me, but they may take some getting used to for you.

I almost always start the game with a

Taking this item is really an all around helpful thing to do against any mid champ. There are a few exceptions. Against any opponent with longer cooldowns (example = ), I will take either or . I do this because I can essentially skip my starting item and use these alternate items to build into my core items. Being able to avoid Leblanc's damage output early negates the need to grab that Doran's Ring for the survivability. Long cooldowns are something that Eve can naturally take advantage of. I'll explain more on this later in the guide.

Getting a kage's lucky pick ASAP is vital to this build. It will generate the gold you need to grab the quickly. This is the most crucial item in the build. The active ability on the Deathfire Grasp is extremely dangerous to any enemy. It deals massive magic damage, and is a nightmare for other champs when followed by Eve's ult.

Next you will want to grab . This Item is nearly a must for any AP carry. The ability power boost it provides will add a lot of shock value to your attacks. You can essentially nuke most other carries with a Grasp - Ultimate combo after getting this.

Once you have the AP to blow people up, you want to grab your level 2 boots. I highly recommend taking . This will reduce your cool downs and give you that movement speed to chase or flee when combined with her W spell. The Cool down reduction is an absolute blast once you get her ult maxed out. Roughly 35 seconds between ults makes her an asset in any skirmish or team fight.

Damage is taken care of, so lets get some survivability now. is my first pick in that category. You get 100 extra AP on top of a great armor boost. By this time, team fights should be starting. THIS ITEM WILL SAVE YOUR BUTT! It gives you the ability to run in, nuke a carry, then go into stasis when you get focused. Your team (if they are smart :/ ) should use this time to attack and scatter the enemy champs. When you pop out of stasis, proceed to take out other squishy targets.

Once you have the hourglass, you should be pretty scary for the other team. You will inevitably begin to get focused hard and shut down if you aren't careful. Guardian's Angel takes care of that problem. Not only will it give you a massive boost in survivability with its armor and magic resist, it's passive will revive you on death with a small amount of health. Be warned that this passive has a five minute cool down.

With those five items, you should be hitting hard and getting away with it. It's time to put the icing on the cake. The final item in your build has room for debate. I do highly prefer the . Adding this item will boost your AP and make you hurt considerably more. By the end of the game, enemies should be counter building you with some magic resist of their own. This item will reduce all nearby champion's magic resist, making you all the more deadly.
