Introduction


This is my guide based on other guides and will be smaller then most cuz I like to just be stright to the point.

I take the best of most guides and a little bit of my own experience and put them together for a solid solo que Ezreal. I think Ezreal has alot to offer for all levels of ELO, and that if your good, he can carry lots of people to your reasonable ELO goal, the key in all of this is you, Ezreal is all skill shots. To learn him you will suck at 1st, But if you land all your skill shots, and keep it up....

Ezreal's Spell's - Show me ya moves








Rising Spell Force - Hitting a target with any of Ezreal's abilities increases his attack speed by 10% for 6 seconds (Max Stacks: 5).

I love this passive, 50% attack speed after your combos most of the time, this will net you kills when your done messing up one guy and move on to the next and kill them even faster, also alot of the time it gets in the extra DPS needed when someone is running.




Mystic Shot - Ezreal fires a bolt of energy which reduces all of his cooldowns by 1 second if it strikes an enemy unit.

Ezreal's cooldowns are reduced by 1 second if Mystic Shot hits a target.

They call this the "bread and butter" move, high DMG, high poke potential, last hitter, CD reducing move, you have to land these every time, EVERY TIME!!




Arcane Shift - Ezreal teleports to a target nearby location and fires a homing arrow which strikes the nearest enemy unit.

What can I say about this move, that I love it? maybe I wanna marry it and take it on a honey moon on a island? maybe, but mostly I wanna make amazing escapes through walls, create distence, or maybe I wanna close gaps, or maybe I wanna do nice DMG with it, get it close and combo.




Essence Flux - Ezreal fires a fluctuating wave of energy, dealing magic damage to enemy champions and reducing their Attack Speed, while increasing the Attack Speed of allied champions.

This is not too bad, but a ok amount of why not DMG on target, travels through more then one person, nice during team-fights to hit many enemies and slow their attack speed, even better if you hit your team and the enemy team, slow them, and speeding up yours.




Ezreal channels for 1 second to fire a powerful barrage of energy missiles which do massive damage to each unit they pass through (deals 8% less damage to each unit it passes through).

This move is so loved by me, I gave it it's whole own chapter, check it out.

Pros / Cons

I'll start with the bad news 1st

Cons:
[-] Like Most AD Carries made of Glass, Handle with Care
[-] Sometimes Find yourself Low on Mana
[-] You need lots of practice or skill.
[-] No CC and open to it.
[-] Slower Movement Speed mid to late game




Pros:
[+] Great Escape even Better with Flash
[+] Great Poke
[+] Great Damage and Combos when landing shots
[+] Half Decent team-fight starter and Kill securing ult.
[+] Ult has great reach
[+] Almost Never Ban, atm

Items

After careful amounts of playing and reading and watching, and a lil thinkin about it, I have come to a good all around build, remember not every game will this work, sometimes you may have to change somethings around, but not too much.

By all round I mean that game after game after game, this will come out on top most of the time if your a good Ezreal player. Now I will explain my choices.

x3 vs.

to start is very situational, most games in bottom will have you with a support player or a ****** who wont listen. Regardless Doran's Blade is a good choice if you have a healer with you, missing the speed of the boots and the heals of the pots will net you some damage that you cant recover from quickly, so a large amount of the time going bot in solo que, you wont have a healer with you, and trust me, you may think that alot of support players would pick a healer, but trust me people suck, Janna is the only exception in this case.


vs.

In most Ezreal guides you will see The Brutalizer rather then Wriggle's, I find in my experience that the DMG and CD from The Brutalizer is good and very welcome to most, but the utility and sustain and DMG from wriggles is just so more needed in solo que. The Dragon and Baron and Buff take down from Wriggle's and the life-steal, as well as the free ward for when your support sucks, is just flat out necessary.

At level 18, you have 8.1+4, or 12.1% CDR from runes and masteries alone. At level 5, your primary damaging tool, Mystic Shot, is on a gross 4 second cool-down. 12.1% of that is .454, which leaves your cooldown at around 3.5 seconds. With Brutalizer, you get an additional 10% on top of that, for a total of 22.1% CDR.

This would leave your Mystic Shot at a cool-down of about 3.1 seconds. That's a difference of .4 seconds. Now factor in the fact that the cool-downs are reduced by 1 if you hit something with it. So, is the .4 second difference, along with the more armor pen really worth it over the greater damage and life-steal?

I think not. Plus free wards ^^

They situation boots are mostly between merc treads for understandable reasons, almost every game you play in solo que there will be slows and cc's so the sooner your un-stunned the better, so you can use your E or flash out, if CC's are not a big threat go with Ionian Boots of Lucidity, the cdr on the boots is welcome, and gets your Q up and E up faster when u miss or when you need to E in or out.





This is Ezreal's bread and butter item, the passive effect on Sheen is so hot, you may find yourself needing new pants, and if you not wearing pants when u use it, a new keyboard. But really this item if a must have on AD Ezreal.

This all depends on the flow of the game, I found banshee to be a great shutdown for most AP Champs, or I change it to Quicksilver if I'm noticing hugh amounts of CC and I wanna jump in get the kill and then slip out (thats what she said), and as for Guardian, I like to have that rather then the other 2 when most AD carries focus Ezreal or close gaps really hard.

The reason Trinity Force is so late is to just give you more of an edge you already have late game with the DMG of Infinity Edge and the DMG and PEN of Last Whisper

Runes



The Runes I use here work well enough early game, and mid game. Then the items and Mana Regen seals take over for late game.


- Greater Mark of Strength x 9

These 9 Flat runes do a nice job early game for your DMG out put, and if you have a healer with you and you have Doran's they are even better. But mostly with the Boots n 3 Pots this will help you farm and deal DMG with your Q looking for your 1st blood to get Ezreal rolling.

- Greater Seal of Clarity x 9

A popular choose on Ezreal and most mana staved Champs, late game or just in Lane you will find yourself poking with Ezreal and last hitting with Q sometimes or just checking bushes, either way you will want to recover your mana, I owe my life and many kills to these Runes late game when I had no mana left and recovered just enough to land that one last Q that made all the difference.
- Greater Glyph of Celerity x 9

These are nice at all stages of the game, mostly late game its nice to fire out all spells constantly and keep your passive up and deleter higher speed auto attacks.

- Greater Quintessence of Desolation x 3

These are good early game and mid game, the Flat Pen and the Flat DMG are a good mix to poke and kill early and mid. (:

Summoner Spells

Why Exhaust and Why Flash?


They Reason I mustily pick Exhaust over Ignite and most other summoner spells is its great versatility, Going bottom lane almost every game in Solo is normal gonna put you with another AD carry, so when you Mystic shot and Arcane shift into them, you Exhaust the AD player to render them useless and continue your assault. It also works well in team fights targeting the enemy AD Carry to shut them down for those precious seconds, and even can be used as just another escape or help someone get away.




Ha, what can I say about Flash and Ezreal, just silly really, 2 Flashes. Basically the distance covered between the 2 is just crazy escapes and chase. Flash is flash is flash is flash.

Ezreal's Ultimate



Trueshot Barrage

Ezreal's Ult needs to have a whole chapter for it's self because this move can be used in MANY ways and its half decent cool-down means you can do it alot, and your going to.

You can use this Ult to start your combo if you like too if you catch someone off guard by ult-ing the minions as well as them, I like to do this at level 6, most players will hide behind minions when you are using Ezreal, mostly because your Q cant go through minions and they block the poke, so in turn, with the right timing and auto attacking minions to low enough health and catching the enemy player in right spot your can True shot at point blank range, clear the wave, hit them and pull off the normal Q, Shift combo. Remember TS lowers in DMG the more things it passes through so don't try it on a fat minion wave.

Which brings me to my next point, TS can also be used to clear any lane from base late game, and you can go in another and clear it yourself. Handy sometimes when u need to be in 2 places at once.

Besides using your ult to help teammates and get kills across the map, it can also be used to steal baron sometimes, mind you, you have to have great timing and be a little lucky, but it can be done, here is an example of someone doing just that.

Smart Casting

Alot of guides tell you this, but alot of people STILL don't know about it.

Let me tell you about this feature of League of Legends.

Ezreal NEEDS to be a quick on the fly caster, you will save time using this feature, if you are a god with out it, by all means, don't fix what aint broke. BUT Smart casting takes champs like Ezreal and Ryze as an example, that have a high turn around rates and instant spells that need to be used faster then you can use target and click.

Summary

I will be returning to this guide and updating it often and making it bigger if people like it, if they hate it, it will just fall to the way side and then who cares I'll remake it.

In Summary, This is Ezreal, a super everything AD Carry with low life and not much defense, but smart playing, skill, and common sense will make you a great player, normally that's all you need with every champ really.

Ending Notes.

Don't be afraid to hit the jungle during down times in your lane, the jungle re-spawns quickly now so you wont be taking much from your jungle or team mates, use that wriggles, and don't get caught.
