Introduction

Hello, I am fairly new to League of Legends (Level 21) and I am not the greatest compared to others. My friends are all level 30's so I am used to the higher levels but they always have an advantage over me. I have recently purchased Jax and he has quickly climbed to the top of my favorites. He is not the easiest Champion early game especially with all the harassers, but once you conquer that he is fairly easy at level 6 when you can farm very easily. I will be sharing with you my ideal build for Jax.

Runes

I chose flat AP Quints for that extra boost early game. You could of course select The Greater Quintessence of Scaling Ability Power which would give you a little bit more AP at level 18 but I like to have the flat AP Quints for that extra boost in early game as I feel The Quint of Force is not needed as Jax already has enough damage output late game.

Magic Pen Reds will help you with those with magic resist to put out a little more damage than usual

Dodge seals are excellent for helping with the Counter Strike ability so you will end up having this ability more than you would without dodge chances.

Magic resist per level blues are good for late game as you will find yourself getting focused more often.

Masteries

This is not the normal set-up for a mastery page, but it works very well to my liking. If you find yourself needing to Recall more than usual it is better to have the Awareness Maxed out so you don't become under leveled.

Items

Sometimes I find myself wanting to buy the Guinsoo's Rageblade before the Hextech Gunblade if I want something to simulate Jax's Ultimate, which will give more attack speed with each ability or auto-attack. Guinsoo's Rageblade is good for those champions that try to run away and Jax's abilities are on CD, Dealing 300 magic damage and slowing the target enemy champion.

If you find yourself getting focused more than usual, then I would prefer going on a more Defensive track by switching out the Rabadon's Deathcap with a Banshee's Veil.

NOTE: Due to Jax's Passive, Relentless Assault, You will have 3000+ Hp with all the items in this build.

Skill Sequence

The order in how you choose your skills is completely up to you, however i would recommend maxing out your Leap Strike so you can hit like a Truck when they are running away :)

Summoner Spells

I personally like to use Flash and Ignite, but sometimes I will switch out Flash for Cleanse. Exhaust can be a very good idea but due to the Hextech Gunblade's ACTIVE, I feel that Exhaust is not needed.
