Who is Kayle?
She is a AP hybrid Carry who can really tear into ppls butts after she builds a few items, she uses / needs a lot of Attack speed and on-hit effects to amp her dmg, combined with her passive which shreds resistances you get a Top laner who can go toe-to-toe with some of the adc's, notice I say SOME, because kayle isn't as high dmg as them, always remember that things can outdmg her but her trump card of R is the thing that really bails her out.

If you ever played ADC and wanted to play Top but don't know who to pick, grab kayle, she will have a friendly kit for you and you will be able to carry with a few items.

Another thing she shares with many ADC's who scale into hyper carries, is their notoriously weak laning phase and that's what this build I am providing changes..

No I'm not drastically changing her Items because honestly the items do what they are suppose to and there aren't many that do it better..its about the rune setups and her weak lane phase and her reliance on 2-3+ items (although nashor's + zerker boots is a decent spike).

The goal is to farm during the lane phase with a very basic and borderline outdated kit but that doesn't mean it's ineffective!

Kayle and her Dmg revolve around her E, it turns her into a Ranged Champ who can widdle down ppl, and her passive shreds armor and mr, you have a W which honestly is just a way for you to speed yourself up to either chase someone down or to run away, and then you have your Q which is (similar to W but cast on the enemy) you are hitting them with Q to slow them down which can either create or close the gap.


So much of her kit is about distance and managing how you want to trade..This is where many folks can struggle at first because they think of kayle as a stationary ap carry, this is wrong..Kayle wants to be attack moving just like a ADC, the difference though is that Kayle is her own Support and ADC so she is like 2 halves in 1 whole and so that's how you have to play her. Scaling up with items and grouping or split-pushing, kayle does all those things very well, not a great ganker or anything but when it comes to straight up fights, kayle is scrappy so let's get her to that Ali status mid game that ppl fear, where she can get a pentakill without even trying

This is how we get past the lane phase and also get our items..Just a great way for us to sustain in lane with all the bastards we fight top..Fleet Footwork is actually pretty crazy how well it works on kayle, giving her another free heal that she can abuse by just staying back walking around a bit getting to 100 stacks and slap someone for the heal, this takes so much pressure off of your W, so that's mana you aren't spending on a heal and you can now freely spend on Q and you don't really need to worry about running out of mana..

See one of the probs with Kayle before is that because she is a top laner, and because so many have high sustain, she would use her W (heal) as a way to try and stand with the big dogs but honestly it ate way too much mana and in some circumstances you would have to back because of trying to sustain up (and weaving in your E and Q when needed)it will eat up mana.

Fleet Footwork takes that away, and gives us mobility and a playstyle that feels more like a Mini-Gnar than a Kayle, same strat, same items but the runes make her feel like a different champ (in a good way)

So for everyone who hasn't ever played kayle, don't feel bad you don't know what this old girl can do because really nobody plays her often.

Her E turns her basic attacks into Ranged attacks, so although Kayle classifies as a Melee champ when her E is on and active, she is a Ranged champ, but all of those attacks count as Basic attacks, so that's why On-hit is soo effective for her along with atk speed.

in some matchups kayle feels like a overpowered bully...but then there are a lot where she gets bullied and you have to use her other tools and in honestly you have to outplay ppl with a kit that probably wasn't designed for a lot of outplay potential.

So for example using your W to Atk Move, its a really nice burst of speed, so you could W and quickly Weave in Autos while you re-position all while the enemy can't hit you..

Using Q in combination with W or weaving Q after a W to either Gap close or Create..Q and W AND R are all offensive and defensive which is really weird cause many see Q as just a Offensive ability, or W as just a heal, or R as just a defense..

Ways to use R? How about a lv 6 tower dive because you poked someone down so low that they have to hide now under the tower and you just happened to flash Auto Q Auto R and walk right out, simple..

Or maybe you are up against a riven and she does all her riven dance moves and you are like "man i think she is about to try and one shot me" and you pre-emptively R which is so awesome when you shut down those combos..
