Ah, Galio. The gargoyle of LoL. I started playing this awesome tank'n'spank champ because of my love of the oft forgotten children's cartoon Gargoyles. If you lived in a cave in Afghanistan, you probably don't know why this is... Google it. Watch it. Love it. Anyway, Galio is a magic resistance based tank, that, at least in my team compositions, owns the solo top lane. This guide shows you how I solo top or even mid, if your bastard carry will let you...

Makes your spells hit harder. You need to do damage to create some kind of threat for the other team. You're a tank, not a meatwall. And tanks have a huge cannon on the front of them... and that cannon blows **** up...

Early game armor... If you're solo top, which you should be, then these keep you alive against minions and most ad champs, at least for awhile.

Again, early game survivability. Plus ups his ap by, sit down for this one, 6 AP!!!

I go standard ap tanking 0/21/9. Argue with me... please.

If you're solo top, it's hard to get back home with damage being done to your turret. Fortify would work, except the turrets are so buggy that they may not do much damage, and may not save the tower. So, I recall, buy my item, then teleport back. Also, saving someones *** by teleporting to a ward or a Teemo mushroom can save lives, and turrets, and gold.

Can you honestly think of a build for ANY character that would not benefit from Flash? Plus the Flash+Ult combo is super useful, and can destroy teams. Save it for that last second ult, and watch your enemy cry.

50% of your magic resistance into AP? WAI****??? A tank that makes damage by building for tank? Are you ****ing serious?

Awesome damage, awesome slow, which leads to awesome kills and awesome farming... Key to solo top. It's his bread and butter, and you lead every combo with it. Use it, Love it.

BUBBLES!!!!! This keeps you or a friend (and by extension yourself again) alive. Shields you, heals you, and GIVES YOU MR! Which, in case you fell asleep in the last 30 seconds, GIVES YOU AP!!!

A fast casting, decent damaging, line effect that speeds up allies, gives Galio a slight escape mechanism, and looks ****ing awesome. Put it in front of minion waves and watch the little buggers book it!!!

Oh look they banned Amumu :( Here's the next (and I think better) best thing. A 2 second AOE taunt that deals buttloads of damage. You WILL steal kills with this. Tell your carries to cry some more. Get as many people into as you can.

Galio is kinda mana hungry. This solves that. Plus 30 MR. You win, and all for less than 900 gold.

If you haven't got it yet you never will... TANKS NEED TO DEAL DAMAGE.

Makes you tough to initiate on, plus health and MR. Good players will ignore you until your bubble pops. Also: Chicks dig bubbles.

Gives you Armor, Mana, and an awesome tanking ability that destroys melee carries. Plus you're a gargoyle and slightly reptilian looking, so your a cold-blooded killer. Get it? Froze... nevermind.

70 ap plus 57 mr equals around 98 ap... the cheapest way to get around 100 ap. Plus the aura hurts the enemy in team fights so your AP carries, and yourself, hit harder.

By now, my team has usually won the game. If you find yourself with a longer game these items might help...
