Gragas Combo Guide

Animation Cancel Techniques

• E → Q (Animation Cancel): Instantly cast Q during your E dash to skip post-dash animation and land damage faster.
• E → R (Animation Cancel): Buffer R during the dash of E to instantly ult upon impact, removing reaction time.
• W → E (Animation Cancel): Activate W and dash with E during the windup to cancel the drinking animation.
• Flash → E (Flash Body Slam): Flash during E for unpredictable engages, bypassing wards and vision.

Basic Combos

• E → Q: Basic engage for poke and damage.
• E → R: Quick displacement — ideal for Phase Rush Gragas to peel or assassinate key targets.
• W → E → Q → AA: Maximize short trades. W gives damage reduction and heavy first auto attack damage.
• W → Q → E: If the enemy walks towards your barrel, start W before E to tank any incoming trades.

Intermediate Combos

• Q (Hold) → E + Flash → Release Q → R:
  Charge Q, E-Flash onto the target, release Q for a slow, then R them into your team.
  
• Flash → E → Q → R:
  If enemies are slightly out of reach and behind Minions, Flash first, then chain E → Q → R to secure kills.
  
• W → E + R → Q → AA:
  Burst setup where you tank upfront damage with W, then instantly combo for kill pressure.
  
• Q (Early Placement) → W → E → R → Release Q:
  Pre-place Q in the enemy's escape path, tank with W, E onto them, then ult immediately after landing.

Advanced Combos

• Q (Pre-place) → E + Flash → Mid-Air R → Release Q:
  A pro-level engage. Pre-place barrel, E+Flash, ult mid-air before landing, then pop Q for maximum CC chain or a Oneshot.
  
• W Buffer → E + Flash → Instant R + Q + AA:
  Full assassination burst. If done properly, the enemy has almost no time to react.
  
• E + R Mid-Dash → Flash After R:
  Special timing to catch enemies behind your target.
  Body Slam into a frontline, ult mid-dash, then Flash right after ult to reposition.
  
• Instant E → Flash → Q + R:
  Use Body Slam, immediately Flash forward, and animation cancel into Q and R for a super fast engage that looks almost like one single movement.
  
• Q (Hold) → Flash → E → Release Q → R:
  Slight variation of insec combo: Flash first, then immediately E, barrel slow, and R backward.

Combo Priorities by Playstyle

• Phase Rush Gragas:
  - Prioritize mobility-focused combos (e.g., E → Q, E → R) for poke and peel.
  - Abuse Phase Rush to reposition after combos and avoid counter-engages.
  - In teamfights, look for Q + E → R to isolate carries.
  
• Assassin Gragas (Dark Harvest):
  - Focus on full burst combos to 100-0 squishy targets.
  - Chain W → E + R → Q → AA to maximize kill pressure.
  - Play around fog of war with Q pre-place + E Flash for surprise kills.
