Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This build will basically keep you in a good support role with auras and a respectable ability to tank while maintaining DPS throughout mid and late game. I justify Trinity Force because it will give some health and that little extra mana I always seem to need in long fights (even w/ soul shroud) while the passive allows you to spam bodyslam-nukes. Bodyslam was already wicked, this works perfectly with it and the extra bonuses like move speed and crit chance will come in handy. Can combine to get some extreme damage when you crit w/ an infinity edge late game. Getting some AD out of Gragas is important because Gragas is mostly useless late game unless you build in DPS or make him an uber tank (but tanks can be useless if they have no dps so I prefer to build in some AD.)
Barrel roll wastes mana, is easy to dodge, and the cooldown sucks, I almost never use it. If you get a point into bodyslam first then max drunken rage you will be able to spam bodyslam right from the get-go. Maxing drunken rage as soon as possible will keep you hitting hard, full of mana, and tougher to kill, maxing BS or BR first makes little sense for this build.
I start off with a Ruby Crystal then build boots and so on from there.
I use ghost and exhaust because its all about catching up with people and hitting them with your gut. Other uses: Ghost is good for getting away (ever try to catch a ghosted gragas with cooldown reduction? IMO Gragas is the greatest escape artist in LoL) and exhaust is fantastic for making a carry useless and getting in your damage when he tries to gank you (trist, TF, ashe etc.) Exhaust can be a very useful tool in diminishing the other teams AD output late game. Another favorite summoner spell of mine is teleport. Gragas is FANTASTIC at porting in to the middle of their guys and getting them to lick their lips in anticipation then blasting their glass cannon into your allies right when the port finishes. And since Gragas is such a touch cookie to kill you can take those hits and just get on outta there at your leisure.
The amount of CD reduction will allow you to always have DR up and make BS ever more spammable.
So yeah, this is my bodyslam build, enjoy (not good for solo laning.)
Edit: Swapped Aegis of the Legion for Spirit Visage since Spirit Visage got reworked (It now gives flat health instead of health regen, this site isn't showing that.) I added Leviathan as a good choice early if you find you are owning and are likely to fill it by end game, its damage reduction coupled with Drunken Rage's damage reduction will kick some ***. Otherwise stick with soul shroud. Or do both and fore-go the infinity edge if your team is dishing out plenty of damage and you want to be more tank oriented.
