This, my friend, is an awesome guide! If I were a vet, I'd definately rec this. +1, I've seen a couple of Morde builds that lean towards AP a bit more, although I still haven't tried them. Anyway, a very informative guide, although I'd suggest you pick Ghost over Teleport, simply because Morde lacks CC, and, well, you can't rely on Rylai's all the time. Anyway, awesome guide, hope to see this get to top 10!

Ok so since its been a while, and seemingly the Meta-game has changed, I have kinda been playing Xin a lot in the last month or so, but got back to playing mord.

As my old build is nice for regular games, when you take them into Ranked, your gonna get owned unless your elo is low. So I've been working on a new build for Mord to once again be a powerhouse in ranked games.

Under Updates, I've briefly explained the new build in "Team 2" which is the new build to counter the new Meta-Game of Off-Tanks.

Also @ Temzilla, your right on the chasing part, I personally like to initiate and run right through the lines to the carries, and no, with the AP on all my builds and the Armor and MR you can do it. As long as your team follows you into the fight your good, however if they don't know your going in, your ****ed. As I have said most of my games played are with my friends while talking over Skype, so I can tell them when I'm going in. I've done it in random ranked matches and been called a bad mord, but if they don't follow you, cause they don't know your going in, then yes. As far as the Damage part, The new build is pretty dangerous. But you have to remember that your positioning is key with mord when your fighting solo vs. 2 or just 1. If your not fighting in an enemy Creep wave, your doing it wrong and you should never play Mord if you don't understand how strong that makes you.

But overall your right. I was forcing him to be a chaser and not a Soaking AP champ. As he isn't a Tank, nor is he a Carry, I was trying to put him in a place that seems to only work when your working with your team. In Ranked games with him your gonna want a solo lane but that means one of your carries is in the dou lane and that is kinda bad. But will be revamping the entire guide here soon seeing as so many things now have to be considered with all the changes in the competition of ranked and that's what I'm playing mostly now.

Too low damage to be considered a threat, and not enough tank to be a soak.

It feels like you're struggling to force morde to be a good chaser when he's not.

Just thought i'd expound upon my previous comment.

8% CDR, along with the fact that you aren't getting a decent combo to justify the Boots of Swiftness such a Frozen Mallet, or *shudder* a sunfire cape, means that i can't up vote you.

27 AP < 8% CDR from runes.

this build "works"

But it's far from amazing.

Thanks guys!

And yeah it took me 2 full builds before I finally came down to this one. It was actually a folly really, I just decided one game that went on forever that I was just gonna build with all the tanky AP Items and see how it went, at that point I turned around from a full def build to this and completely destroyed their team, almost got a pentakill, but Garen 'Spins to Win' as always stole my penta from me.

I'm guessing your build is one of the full AP Mord builds, I just wanna say I personally don't have any luck with that sort of Mord, I agree that it owns if you are good with it, and to be honest, I'm not. Too use to standing and fighting even in a bad situation and getting a kill out of it, or 2 in most situations.

You've got a nice looking guide I'm sure you've put a lot of time into. Anyway as for why I'm commenting I notice you aren't too fond of my build and thought I'd give mention to some match history screen shots I posted in the bottom section of it recently that might make you change your mind about it a little. :D

(P.s: Out of curiosity as to how your build plays I will be trying it out and I'll let you know what I think of it :)

A neat build. I like how you carefully plotted out the sub-items (like Warden's Mail, Negatron Cloak, etc.) before going into the full build. One suggestion, however, I usually like to get more health before Force of Nature just so I can get that helpful passive right off the bat. But I see you get health afterwards and that's fine.

As for the guide itself, everything is laid out nicely, nice icons and pics, and all in all, good guide. Nice job. Enjoy the +1
