As a Heimerdinger, you're going to be smashing the enemy with your turrets, while launching missiles and grenades all over them. A good Heimerdinger is a VERY annoying opponent. Any suggestions, the comments are wide open

Summoner Spells

Teleport You can get right back to your turrets from base without the walk. Plus, it'll make your turrets invincible for a few seconds while you get over there, then you can lay down another turret and toss a grenade and maybe 3 missiles.

The second spell is really personal choice. Ghost is good for running in, building a turret, and getting out, as is Flash. Heal isn't actually terrible either, since you can not only heal yourself but also your turrets without wasting an ult.


Greater Glyph of Potency AP, gives more damage for all your attacks

Greater Seal of Clarity gives MP regen, so you don't run out while building turrets.

Greater Mark of Insight If your enemy has magic resist (which they should get once you start making them hurt with your turrets) this will be helpful

Greater Quintessence of Fortitude Hiemer is really squishy, so it's nice to get the HP boost.

Item Build

Meki Pendant: Needed for archangel, and you eat up mana early.

Sorcerer's Shoes You're an AP champion, 'nuff said

Archangel's Staff This will get you set for MP for the rest of the game. Great MP recovery, along with the Passive that will get you up to tons of MP. The extra AP is nice, but that's just a little bonus thrown in.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter Now we're getting into the later part of the game, and you're going to be doing lots more DMG with this, not to mention your turrets will have a slight slow.

Zhonya's Ring BIG AP boost right here, damage output will be going sky high. The active ability of this skill isn't terrible, but I haven't found a good use for it except maybe when you need to wait 2 seconds for your turrets to CD and you're getting hit on by enemies.

After this point, the last 2 items you get can be personal preference. I put up what I usually use, but you can do whatever.

Lich Bane Some nice AP, and also the passive makes it so that your next regular attack will do about 500 damage. Very nice indeed.

Hextech Gunblade Some spell vamp so you can be healed by turrets. And AP to go along with that

NOTE: One or both of the last 2 items can be replaced for another Rylai's Crystal Scepter for the stacked slow.

Mastery Tree

I go with a 9-0-21, which is the best in my opinion. Hiemer is mainly a mage (AP wise), and the CD reduction you get for the 21st point on the tree is nice for faster turret building and your ult.

Skill Build

Techmaturgical Repair Bots not where Hiemer really shines, but it's nice to have. It won't sway the battle or anything, but it won't kill you either.

H-28G Evolution Turret Since the patch making the available number of turrets 2 instead of 3, this skill has become less useful. I have it get up to level 2 so you get the 2 turrets, and leave it for a while to get your rockets. These turrets can be used as a "base" when pushing that you can retreat back to if things are going badly.

Hextech Micro-Rockets This skill is nice and versatile, and has a nice damage output. This can be used to harass champions when there's only 1 or 2 minions left in the wave, and also it is useful for runners as well as melee champs that get too close.

CH-1 Concussion Grenade I get this skill last, so the damage of it really isn't very good until the end of the game. You're mainly going to use this as CC, if a champ rushes you when you're near turrets drop one right onto their head and throw your rockets and you get a nice chunk of damage.

UPGRADE!!! Hiemer's ult. It's good when you have a few champs hitting your turrets, or when you're in a team battle and your turrets are being ignored. The slow can be really bothersome to the enemy, and the skill is especially bothersome when they spent so much time hitting down your turrets.

Playing Heimerdinger

Early Game

You can either lane solo or with somebody, it doesn't matter a ton. Hiemer can excel both solo and with a lane partner. This build is a somewhat hybrid build, half turretless and half turret. You won't be as good of a farmer because you won't have AOE turrets up quick, but your rocket nukes are huge damage output, not to mention great against people running away.

I'll put up the mid and late game later, any suggestions are welcome.
