Introduction

Hello, My name is snowisabutt, I main support and adc and have used mainly support to climb. I ended last season at silver 3 and have used bard to climb to low/mid plat. Bard is in my opinion the hardest support to play, he has a very high skill ceiling and can be very deadly in the right hands. He is also one of the most rewarding champs to learn and play. At the moment I have 120,000 mastery points on bard and he is my favorite champ is play on a regular basis.

How to play early/mid game

Bard is most dominate at these times in the game. You early game should be poking down the enemy laner and going for all-ins. 1 auto with you stun proc thunderlords and will usually do 1/3-1/2 of the enemy laners hp. Once you hit 6 since you are able to combo your cc with you ult into stun. If you are in a lane with an adc also with a stun/root it should be a kill almost every time.

Chimes

One of the most weird things on bards kit is his passive. As bard picks up chimes around the map the upgrade his meeps. As you get more chimes the meeps do more damage and slow for more. After 25 chimes you get another meep. At 90 chimes you get 9 meeps. You should roam for chimes whenever you have the opportunity, but, if you have to leave you adc alone it can be extremely dangerous despicably if you are not duoed with them. Your goal should be around 2 chimes a minute. One more thing, 2 chimes always spawn around or in your jungle at the start of the game.

Late game

Late game for bard is a little more tricky. Since chimes are so important to bards kit, and the enemy team with probably know that, they will try to catch you out. You should stay with your team and play off your ult. Landing a 2-3 man bard ult can be game changing.

Summary

Bard is a good champion that is super fun and rewarding to play. He is a super strong pick if you are in a team environment or trust you adc.
