What's up, i'm the one they call "Hurricane Zed". I'm currently Gold Division 3 and climbing towards Platinum fast. Zed is in my top played and with my experience i'll be showing you the build to win lane and roam to snowball your team to victory.

Long sword+ 3pots is absolutely the only way to start considering how many long swords you'll need to purchase throughout the game as Zed.

Getting Brutalizer before blige is the way to go because of your starter 10% added on top of the 10% from The Brutalizer makes you super spammy and more lane dominance with the super low CD of ulti.

For boots i say Mercury Treads if against heavy cc with any ap, or Ninja Tabi if you're getting smashed by the AD's too quick to finish your combo and get out safely in teamfights. also, feel free to take Ionian's because with just the items, runes and masteries in this build you'll have a base 15 CDR.

I choose FM over BT so that you can survive in teamfights well enough to kill the enemy carries such as mid laner or ADC. if either are any good they will be trying to kite you, and that will be near impossible with BOTRK + FM.

You are QUITE tanky at this point and bursting hard as a mother. you can choose to go BT over FM if you don't think your damage is high enough.

Regarding summoner spells, Ignite+Flash is the only way to go. Trust me.

Maxing Q first is high risk high reward because it gives you more poke in lane and more damage all together then E would, but it is a skill shot, therefore there is always the chance you won't land it and ruin your combo. and your ultimate deals damage based on the damage you have done after you added the mark, so make sure you q after they are slowed from e to make it harder for them to dodge.

Starting 10% CDR from runes is an amazing difference in game. lower CD on ulti makes snowballing a breeze and staying ahead on levels from the poke from the Q and W+E+Q combo.

my #1 priority as Zed is to make sure i out farm and outplay the enemy mid laner well enough that i can get a large advantage and use it to help my team. hopefully you're jungler can withstand giving you some blue buffs to help you snowball yourself (and your team with you).

The mechanical part is all up to you, but if you know what you're doing as Zed, with this build it is nearly impossible to lose lane.
