So let me explain
So now, when I look into Xin Zhao, you know what I see? 70% AP healing per third autoattack.
So I wondered, hey, what would be a viable AP Xin Zhao build? I haven't ever tested this, it's mostly for fun.
So let's talk first about the "smart" build. Obviously, it's not "smart" at all, but it's might work a little bit better than full AP Xin Zhao. At full build, it will have a whopping 594 AP if you go by the build. This means every third autoattack will heal you for about 416 HP. The Rod of Ages provides a nice bit of extra health, while Guinsoos and Nashor's both provide attack speed to make your E passive proc faster. Guinsoos and Gunblade provide a nice bit of extra autoattack based damage as well so you aren't completely ability dependent.
On the other hand, you could replace gunblade/guinsoos with a Morellonomicon for maximum CDR or Will of the Ancients for spell vamp fun. A Luden's Echo is for maximum troll, since, well, it's pointless but provides a lot of AP. If you go with a Luden's Echo instead of gunblade, your heal is upped to 473 HP.
