Introduction
TLDR: Play Jax, I'll try to help, feedback appreciated.
AD is tested, AP and hybrid theorized.
Speed, crit chance, armor pen, damage. No havoc, because it's only 1.5% and the 3 point's are better placed into the health buff of veteran's scar. Suggested option setup 22/8/0 with a point into 10 bonus turret damage from veteran's scars.
For this I'm assuming 21/9/0 for the HP boost, but you could also go 21/0/9 to get move speed, mana, recall, and runic affinity. Let me know if it works out.
Also, this is my assumption. I didn't take executioner because I wanted to have the health and movement speed buffs, because, it's a hybrid. Let me know how it goes.

These are always just suggestions. Though I do generally run my AD build exact, there is never a game that I don't look at the enemy and ask myself, "Do I need to be more AD/AP defensive, how can I survive better, to kill better." Situational items like frozen hammer to slow enemies (attack and movement) for ADs or an early negatron cloak (to build force of nature perhaps) to thwart fed Lux's nuke.
Doran's blade can be purchased, or skipped for the boots/health potion combo. or armor/hp combo, life steal scepter, whatever you want. Ninja Tabi asap, for the speed, and the dodge (armor helps against enemy ADs too).
After you get your NT boots, life steal is always a good decision, if you have the money start getting zeal as well. After zeal, you should be getting or have your ult for the attack speed increase, plus the crit chance and speed of zeal, you now need a B. F. Sword, or if you can afford it Bloodthirster.
Now that you have your Bloodthirster, another BF Sword or crit cloak depending on what you have money for. I build infinity edge, but you could finish out your Phantom Dancer. Either way, get these two items up asap.
Finish the game for situational items, need more slow? Frozen Mallet, more damage/small health boost/more life steal from another Bloodthirster, another PD for crit chance/speed. The choices are yours, and yours alone.
Completely speclated, never attempted. Let me know how it goes. I'll get to it soon.
I started to do this build, but the game ended early. I liked it so far, let me know what you think.

Hybrid

Until the rework, I recommend maxing your e, the dodge/stun first, and use minions to force a dodge, to be able to stun surrounding enemies. Next, since I build AD, I max the jump, but if you are short on mana all the time, max your magic damage buff (w) for the damage, and the cheapness of the skill, saving your q as a gap closer and maxing it last. As always, get your ult when you can.
I have never done any work on AP/Hybrid other than the above/suggested/AD skill sequence. Let me know your thoughts.

I always take Ghost/Ignite, as they can both be upgraded from the offensive tree's summoner spell buff. They can both be used in different situations to escape/chase/gank, and are very versatile.
Teleport is also recommended, as would flash, ignite, or whatever you think you need. I would advise taking an offensive, and defensive spell.

Use your W to farm, and don't be afraid to tank some creeps early to trigger dodge so you can stun. Done correctly, and using your gap closer sparingly, you have great sustainability and damage. Mid to late game Jax can push and harass, while getting a majority of creep kills to reach the end of his very expensive build. Jungling is definitely an option, I would take smite and take a point from mag resist or armor for the +10 bonus smite gold on us mastery. The build would be pretty similar though, other than the mastery point.
A note on jungling, dragon and baron control is your job, and the team should assist when possible. When the dragon spawns, it would be wise to ward the area, and if possible, kill it, with or without the aid of your teammates. That extra gold is as much as a tower, and it spawns again in 6 minutes, so be prepared to repeat yourself.

Jax can do many things really great. After his rework I will be modifying and updating this guide. As this is my first guide, we shall see how it works, and I would add sections if asked for specific ones, and modify those that the reviewers see fit.
Thanks for reading, and good luck on your rampage as The Grandmaster Jax.
