Hey, hey hey!
I wonder what runes setup you prefer to your Nidalee mid guide?
I can't seem to see any :/

Hi there! To answer your question, I generally use Domination primary with electrocute, sudden impact, eyeball collection, and ravenous hunter.
For your secondary, I would go time warp tonic and biscuits. Since the sustain is great in the mid lane. If you go inspiration secondary, start corrupting pot.

When you have the slow start and go Iceborn do you get it after jungle item or after Morello?

Hi there! I generally tend to go iceborn if I'm super far behind. However, if you are having a slightly slow start, you can go something like morello or another AP-Health equivalent.

Nice guide @ The Top Bear. I had a couple of mechanical questions about clearing with Nidalee that I hope you can help me with as a lot of guides seems to gloss over ability order when clearing the jungle.

So it looks like you generally start with Q, Javelin Toss / Takedown, unless you want to start Raptors in which case you can start W, Bushwhack / Pounce.

Leaving aside starting W.

So for starting Red Buff with a leash from your laners I believe you would do something like

Q > AA > AA > R > Q > AA > AA > R > kite away and basically rinse and repeat?

Then it seems like you do something like

Q > W > AA > AA > R > W > AA > Q (to cancel the AA animation and get your damage out faster)

Then you would do something

Q > W > AA > AA > R > W > AA > E > Q (a little fuzzy on which to use since they both do some varitey of % missing health dmg).

I can already tell it is going to take a lot of games to get the most out of her, but I like the thought of having another jungler that can get into and out of the enemy jungle relatively quickly as I seem to have the most success with jungling when I can opt to counter jungle and gank from behind enemy lines.

Generally that's the correct way to do it, but being able to improvise is important as well. You can also save a q or w at the end of one camp to go ahead and start the next camp. Oh, and sometimes it's better to start top lane regardless of the buff so that you can gank bot early. Hope this helps! If you have anymore questions feel free to ask! Happy Climbing!

Ah, I've seen a couple of games where people will Q Gromp after getting Blue down to about half health. Will have to work that into my practice.

Do you choose to gank Bot early based on match-up or simply if your Bot lane has a decent amount of CC to help your with your gank?

Whatever happened to Nidalee in this game? I haven't seen her in a game for at least 3 months. I don't think it's because she's weak or something, maybe just not that meta at the moment. Almost makes me want to pick her up for that reason. I never played her jungle but I'll try it again and probably use your guide for that, it seems very well made.

There are a couple of likely reasons for this. The first being your region. In NA, nidalee isn't as popular of a champ as in Korea. She is also played a lot more in plat or higher since she has a high skillcap and is team comp reliant. Lastly you might just have gotten unlucky. Also, thanks for the kind words! Don't forget though, nidalee doesn't have to be a jungler. I find myself playing a lot of nida top and mid and enjoy it a ton! Happy climbing!

Actually, I'm on EUNE, you know the "clown fiesta" server. XD
But yeah, even though I rarely play ranked, I was surprised by her scarcity in the game. Some years ago, I'd see her more often, considerably more. I know she's perfectly viable in other lanes but jungle is my main role so if she's good for it, I want to give her a shot, I'm trying to achieve a minimum skill in almost every jungler if possible. Thanks for the feeback, and all your work, sir.

I just bought the champion a few hours ago and I want to know if there is a way to deal my damage in a teamfight while surviving? I main Evelynn and obviously with her, I can pick my fights with invisibility and just ult away if I'm in trouble. With Nidalee I tried to buy Zhonya's but still get killed every single time even if I try pounce away.

I also find it hard for me to position myself before a fight breaks out because I can get caught out easily. I have no reliable escapes, squishy, and no CC. And I don't have invisibility.

Hi there! First off, thanks for the comment. Nidalee's teamfighting is super precise. Your main goal is to hit as many spears as possible. Aim for the squishies in the back. If a tank gets a bit too far in, pop him before the rest can follow up. if a squishy walks into a spear, pop them and try to either get out or zhonya's. I like to make a mental list before the fight that lets me know who is worth dieing to kill. Just remember, a teamfight means nothing if you cant get anything done afterwards. Hope this helps, and happy climbing! :)

I have a question for you. When is it a good time to go for support/healer Nidalee or tank Nidalee vs damage Nidalee. I have played a lot of games with your damage build and I love it made me re love Nidalee but I was wondering about the other builds.

I generally go healer Nidalee when I don't have a great start, since the build is cheaper than damage. I go tank Nida when the enemy team is all AD or when I know I won't live if I jump in. Thanks for the question! Happy Climbing!

Hi there! First off, thanks for the comment! I personally don't take Iceborn on tank Nidalee, as I prefer the health stats of the other items, however if you want a bit more damage then you can absolutely take Iceborn. It is just a matter of preference. I take Iceborn on healer Nid for the damage of sheen and for the slow, as it is more of a support/damage build, and the Iceborn is just for damage, utility, and tank stats, fitting the build more. In either case the item can be subbed in or out based on preference. Lastly, I'm currently working on adding an ADC Nidalee build for the jungle to replace my lethality build as it no longer works, so stay tuned for that! Happy Climbing!

Hey :) First of I've only overflown your guide but it looks well organized. I really enjoy nida but I have problems with her in the later stages of the game. I've also noticed you ranked kindred as an easy matchup for nida. In my experience kindred is really good vs nida :D Thanks for the work you invested in your guide!

Thanks for your feedback! I'm having to remake the matchup tab, so the kindred vs Nida will be changed soon! (Along with many others) Also, thanks to your comment, I will start making a more elaborate explanation on Nida's late game, including how to best use her late game. Feel free to leave anymore suggestions or questions, and I'll address them ASAP! Have fun with your games! :)
