Hello Leaguers-

This build is my FIRST build, and is what works for me.
Go easy, I love playing solo top champions, and Irelia is just one of my favorites.

Also, the descriptions below are very BASIC. Images and other whatnot will be added as soon as I have the time. (In fact, I could be working on them RIGHT NOW)

I plan to update all my guides every patch, so as I improve, so will the guides. :)

I picked up Irelia after her nerf, and the general life steal nerf. To me, she is still extremely viable in top lane, or as a jungler. (Jungle guide will be up later.)

Summoner Choices I like to go with are Ghost and Teleport.
Other good choices are...
-Flash
-Exhaust
-Heal

My Masteries are a standard 21/9/0 build, getting armor and armor pen. in offense, and MR and armor in defense.

Runes are standard physical DPS, taking armor pen. and AD/level.

The build order at the top is just your overall item build, should you get to endgame.

Start off with a Regrowth Pendant and a Health pot.
Pick up your Philosopher Stone, a Ward, and some health pots, if you need it.
After Philo Stone, purchase a Heart of Gold.
Start building your Trinity Force, starting with either Sheen or Phage.
Build your phage or sheen, getting whichever you did not get prior to T. Force.
Finish up building Trinity with Zeal, and pick up Trinity Force when you get 300 gold.

After Trinity Force, start building Warmog's Armor, starting with a Giant's belt. Finish it off with a Regrowth Pendant and a Ruby Crystal.

After Warmog's is of course Atma's Impaler. Starting with a Chain's Vest or Cloack of Agility is totally up to you. (If you want crits, Cloack. If armor, Chain's Vest.)

After your Atma's impaler, build your Randuin's Omen. This is an overall good item, and its active will benefit you and your team. You already have the heart of gold, so just build Warden's and buy a Cloth armor, and BOOM you have Randuins.

Finish it off with a Shurelia's.

The reason that this build works for me is because not only are you a tank, but your a huge physical dps, able to take a lot of punishment, while dealing all sorts of damage. Not only can you do that, you can also life steal most of that health back up with Hiten Style's passive and/or active ability.
