Introduction

This build is to show you all how Irelia is meant to be played.
The build is what my friend, Adrian, uses and dominates with every game.

-In the future this section will be used to post updates and patch adjustments
-As this is our first build, we would appreciate it if you left constructive criticism and help us improve our guide.

-If you have any questions or recommendations on how to make this build better, please feel free to contact me in game or through email.

Runes

The runes used in this build are relatively basic, save for the fact that it uses Quintessences of SWIFTNESS. This is odd for most people because there are usually much more viable runes to use for most champions, but for Irelia, this is not the case. The Swiftness Quintessences are useful for multiple reasons:
1) As you will later find out in this guide, this build is meant to be used for jungling after aquiring 600 gold (around level 3 or 4)
2) This build is meant to be used aggressively, you will be chasing most opponents away as they run in fear.

Masteries

When using this build, it is essential that you use the masteries exactly as it's meant to be used, allow me to tell you why:
1) The Quickness mastery, on top of your Quintessences of Swiftness, will make you nearly impossibly to out run, and in the rare chances that you are fleeing, impossible to catch.
2) Archaic Knowledge will make your ultimate hit like a train. So, on top of healing yourself for full health on loads of minions, you'll be taking down champions in less than 4 seconds.

Items

In our opinon, Irelia is a pretty item dependant champion, in comparison to many other champions who have skills that are less effected by them. This being said, when Irelia gets her hands on the items we find most effective, she excells at everything you put her to.
Here are a few highlights on some items you might be confused about:

Mercury's Treads
This item is absolutely essential. Your passive as Irelia gives you more Crowd Control reduction for every nearby enemy. This will stack with Mercury's Treads making most stuns, fears, and slows wear off almost instantaneously.

Frozen Mallet
A necessity for almost every melee character, the Frozen Mallet is especially useful for Irelia. Using our build, Irelia is already damn near impossible to outrun, but giving the slowing effect of Frozen Mallet, it would be a better for the enemies if they just let you kill them so they can ressurect sooner.

Banshee's Veil
When it comes down to it, every champion can benefit by using a Banshee's Vale. Irelia is no exception. The ability to neglect a hostile spell every 30 seconds is game changing.

Gameplay

Alright, lets get down to business.

Beginning Game (Levels 1-3)
Right now, you are most likely weaker than the champions you are put up against. You are very lane partner dependant at this point. Depending on who you are paired up with, and who you are going against, you may be able to harass a bit, but the chances of a kill are unlikely. It is best to get last hits on minions as much as possible, and get to 600 gold as fast as possible.
Why is getting to 600 gold so damned important?
Because at 600 gold you can buy your Madred's Razor and start JUNGLING!

Jungling (Levels 3-6)
Jungling is absolutely necessary for this build. It allows you and your former lane partner to get much more experience than your opponents.
After you get your Razors, you will jungle in this order:
Twin Golems, Wraiths, Wolves, Blue Buff, Red Buff
After you've done this twice, or even once if you're feeling confident, you are more than prepared to start ganking.

Ganking and Late Game (Levels 6-18)
Irelia is a demon, she can go toe to toe with almost any champ and come out with full health.
This makes her great for ganking those stubborn enemies that have been giving your team a hard time in their lanes.
You should take the basic route when ganking, go around into the river and get in a bush. When you see an opportunity to kill someone, use this rotation:
W, Q, E, Auto Attack, finish off with Ultimate if entirely necessary.

Summary

This guide is no where near as in depth as it will be in the future, as it's 3AM here in California and I'm trying hard not to pass out as it is.

So before publishing this guide, for you all to use, and hopefully approve of, here are some results!
