Ok, so I came back to give +1, because even though this is a very odd build, it's really fun :) It's true you can't afford it in Ranked, but works fine in Normals and being able to slow non stop is quite fun. ^^

Alright, Halipupu, fair enough. Is there something I should be doing to better convey the fact that you probably won't finish the build every time? Just having 2 Gp10 items (including an imaginary one from the mastery tree) earns you a pretty respectable amount of gold.

And you could be right about the Boots of Swiftness. I looked at the numbers, and tier 1 boots give 50 movement speed, increasing by 20 with each tier up. However, I think that these scale down depending on how much speed you have? I'm not sure.

It's really hard to deny the benefits of Ionian Boots of Lucidity, as none of Janna's spells are useless, and having better CDR on her really helps. Mercury's Treads are also good, but if you are playing well, you shouldn't have to get them. I'll keep Boots of Swiftness as an option, for people who are being chased down by tier 3 boot Singed and Garen, and whatnot.

This seems interesting guide, but like the one above said, I don't know when as a full support could you actually afford getting both Rylais and Frozen Mallet. Maybe in Normal games where you can actually grab a creep or two without getting flamed? I'll definitely try that now thay you made a point why should you actually buy Rylai's on Janna, since I thought it's rather useless item on her, because she already has a slow, but epic slow sounds good to me.

Boots of Swiftness are bad though, the movement speed bonus ain't that good on Janna, you'd be better of with CDR boots in my opinion or the Mercury's Treads. Otherwise this is a really nice and definitely original guide, but you could explain something about gameplay in general to make it more like a whole guide, not just a build explanation. Good luck with this ^^ I'll come back to vote after trying out how this works.

You bring up some good points, Trans4M. You're right, most games you won't be able to finish this build, but I might as well list the items for those games that happen every once in a while that just last upwards of an hour. Maybe I should put Aegis before Frozen Mallet, in this case? I'm not sure yet, I'll think about it.

That thing about Scout is pretty interesting too. I'll do a little bit of research on it, maybe find a nice jpeg of it or something, but yeah, I'd probably move the point into Improved Recall if Scout's point is as useless as you say it is.

Lastly, I'll add a masteries section that covers using Heal in lane to preserve your ally's (and your own) health. I'd probably replace Clairvoyance with Heal in this case, as it always makes me pretty uncomfortable running around with no escape spells.

i dont know if you can accomplish your item build within a standard game especially for a support. Just by looking it you are spending about 11.5k. In a standard 35 minute game supporters usually come out with 9k gold. 2.5k is stretching it. Not to mention the money you spend on wards once in a while which will probs total another 1k.

I use to think Scout is a good mastery to take for supporters until the other day it was point to me. 5% is only 55 range increase for sight ward. It seems a lit but consider this. A melee attack is 125 range. So effectively how much range are you really gaining? Literally almost none. You might be better getting Improved Recall .

As Janna you don't have any heal really so that makes protecting your carry really difficult. The only way is to use Eye of the Storm to allow them to soak some damage. That is the very reason why people tend to max Eye of the Storm first just like all other supporters max their heal first e.g. Astral Blessing.

Despite what I said I like your idea. An uber slow Janna is deadly.
