Hello, fellow summoners, my name is Blaquenwhyte, and welcome to my Jax guide! Within, you will find guides on how to utilize the 3 different playstyles that Jax can use.

Jax is a bit of an oddball champion, in that his skills can be used in different ways to either accommodate a pure AD playstyle, a pure AP playstyle, or even a hybrid between the two. His abilities scale with AP, but his passive, Relentless Assault, renders him perfectly capable of being an AD champion as well. And combining both AP for his abilities, and AD for his passive, allows him to be equally, if not more effective, than the other two.

So, why play Jax? Well, as an example: before I knew he existed, I was playing a game as Sivir and noticed some hero I didn't recognize running around the map, leaping on people, doing tons of burst damage, as well as seemingly becoming better as a battle went on. Even if a champion got a surprise on him, he was perfectly capable of turning the tide and winning just by playing correctly. As I later found out, that hero was Jax, and I decided I should give him a shot and see how this hero worked so well. I quickly grew to love him, and now you see me making this guide.

Pros + Versatile; can be played numerous different ways + Great gap closer + Excellent chase/escape mechanism with Leap Strike + Counter Strike is a fantastic counter to AD champions + Great harasser with Leap Strike + Empower combo + Gets stronger as a fight goes on due to Relentless Assault + Capable of extreme burst damage + Less squishy than other carries. especially with the active from Grandmaster-At-Arms + He uses a lamp because any other weapon would make him too overpowered

Cons - Can be hard countered depending on how you play him (pure AD or AP) - Becomes mana hungry if his abilities are used too often - Vulnerable to harass and CC - Item reliant - Despite being less squishy than other carries, overextending can and will get you killed
