and junglers that fit the current meta much better. I am a one trick, so I somewhat make it work, but the moment you see a tresh, alistar, blitz, pike, lane becomes hell for you, in the jungle a lee sing, camile, graves khaxis will perma steal your camps and invade you early on. You will not climb easily playing only fiddles, other supports that might be better are Nami, Morgana and even Soraka. The biggest issue fiddles has its his mobility. Say you face a Yas, yeah you fear him, he will dash to you in a matter of seconds, same as Riven, Kayne, Udyr, Darius, Kass, LB. I love playing fiddles, have been for the past 5 years. One more issue fiddles face is mana consumption during laning phase, with the nerfs fiddles recieved, your e doesn't do that much damage and mana consumption is high. My main build depends on who I am facing against but I will either rush a zhonias or banshees depending on how I am able to engage my ult. Also, boots are either mercs or tabi, since support fiddles does not do much damage, magic penetration is not that important in my opinion, you are utility support, not damage support. I have been playing with twin shadows, but its not that necesary for you, specially with the current meta giving you 20% cdr with runes as the game goes on, maybe you can invest that into a lyandrys, my last item is always a tank item, surprisingly enough as late game fiddles with a randouins you can take some damage from the enemy team and survive it.
As jungle fiddles, unless you are super fed early on, you will depend highly on your team mates, which is another part of maining fiddles, you depend on your team. The higher I got in ranked, the easier it became to play fiddles becasue your team knew how to play around you, in gold and before its hell to play fiddles if your team doesnt know the match up. this are my matches leading up to diamond 5 in season 8.

I can see your point and I understand what you are saying here. But you should alo take in account that playing Fiddlesticks in lower elo means the enemy players are also not as skilled. I am not a Fiddlesticks otp but I play him a lot. I have a pretty decent winrate on him both support and jungle.
It is true that sometimes a game against Blitzcrank or Thresh / Lee Sin or Camille can be hard. But in a lot of gamed I have dominated that match-up as well.
As to your point about mobility: yes that is true but it's more about the timing of your fear than anything else. This is also a problem a lot of other champions have.
As for the items, I take Twin Shadows for the active. Not the CDR.
Thanks for the comment though, I appreciate it!

About your question:
I have it included in my
But I haven't found the time to try it on him as a support.
Speaking purely theoretic there should be no reason this wouldn't work on
So it is absolutely not such a weird or useless thought! ^^
When I find the time (hopefully soon) I will give it a few test runs and I will add a chapter on it here if I find the results are equally good as on
So again, thanks for the comment and I will keep this updated! ^^
