I think it's a decent guide, but early rod of ages is to risky imo, since you don't get the most out of your champion when going rod of ages, besides that it's easy to not die due to your ult if you got some general game knowledge.

Also it's better to go Deathfire grasp with the buff nowadays because it's just extremely strong atm. For the rest it's a nice guide.

My reason why I didn't like Lich Bane yet is that it does not fit into any point of time in my opinion. For AP carries it is a late game item because you need more offensive items like Rabadon's Deathcap or Sorcerer's Shoes first to be effective, plus the passive proc will only deal damage when you already have some decent AP.
But in late game in most cases you can't Riftwalk on enemies very often and especially you can't stay next to them, as you are not tanky at all and a stun could kill you. Consequently, I think you only very seldom have the opportunity to AA an enemy additionally to your combo. And I don't think you need the movement speed bonus. With this in mind I find a bit too expensive.

Anyways, I don't call you crazy, so I will try some games with it ;-) ...also in combination with Nashor's Tooth and if I like it after that, I will definitely add it to my guide. So thank you for your participation! I gave you +1.

Nice guide, just 1 question. You say you will not be close enough to AA with Lich Bane often. A key to your burst is landing stacked riftwalk on top of the enemy. You are definitely in AA range there, and on a burst mage a guarunteed LB attack is huge. I always build it on Kass and Diana, and both of them deal BROKEN damage with it. Plus you have the survivability to stay close in a 1v1 longer than most mages, and nether blades for constant DPS (Calculate their damage. It scares me). Just a suggestion, but try to play Kass with LB and watch your damage go through the roof.
Call me crazy, but I also experiment with "CQC" attack speed Kass, maxing nether blades second and buying Lich Bane and Nashor's Tooth core. Just give it a few games. It's fun as hell and it actually works.

Cheat Sheet(s): You really have thought of everything. I love they way you have your different builds set up. I love your mastery section and I do believe this will be one of the top 5 Kassadin guides one day. Just keep all this updated.

Guide: I really like the guide as a whole. What would really top it off and put it above all the rest is a chapter on champions you will be facing in mid lane. Giving tips and tricks to counter them. That would really pull this guide together. I can usually find one thing a person could work on in a build besides coding but youve really done it all. Just get more creative with the coding and that will be perfect.

very nice guide, but caitlyn vayne and tristana are not ment to be mid and if they do they failed the game heavly, So they should not be named as counters. Exept that it was a good guide!
