Introduction

Hello everyone, I am a Silver player here to give you the information to help you succeed whenever you play my personal favorite champion, Katarina. I hope you enjoy and learn from this guide, because Katarina is one of the best champions in League, and when you play her right: YOU WILL DESTROY.

Runes

If you perfer, you can switch things up. The movement speed is something I wouldn't change.

Masteries

This is the ideal setup for katarina.

Laning Phase

FARMING:

If you are against a champion that you are comfortable with. Try maxing W instead of Q in order to harass them with a Q>E>W combo to get the movement speed proc to get away.

Try for 80 farm @ 10 minutes.

If they shove up constantly, farm under turret. Enjoy it.

Mid-Game

Mid-game, you are going to want too keep farming and trying to put pressure around the map. Keep in mind the amount of CC/displacements they have when you try to fight someone. Always try to bait it out before fighting. Now read teamfights below

Teamfights

Here is where Katarina gets fun. Wait for your team to engage, then sit in the back and wait for someone to get low. Jump in with Q>E>W>R and after you get 1-3 kills cancel it. Currently in patch 4.21, the ultimate will keep spinning when no damage is happening, thats why you cancel it. Then use Q>E>W to continue cleaning up in order to get a clean ace.
